Ok so first off, hello everyone my names Brian, i'm new to the forum, but i've been reading around here for a week or so. Ok so my problem; today I purchased an I-Taste VTR kit from my local vape shop. I just put down the smokes and picked up vaping about a week and a half ago, and I haven't had a cigarette since. Before today I used a kanger evod battery (not sure the exact model but it was like a 20$ battery) with one of those cheap plastic CE4 clearomizers that holds about 1.6 ML. That setup produced OK vaping but nothing great. Those 1.6 ML in that tank would get my though about 3/4 my day and I vape constantly. I vape a 50/50 mixture of vanilla bean 24mg, and tobacco blend 24mg, So I loaded my VTR tank up (its the standard tank, Iclear 30S I Believe?) I let the juice soak in for awhile. So after vaping for a couple hours on and off, less than I used to hit my evod with clearomizer, and I noticed I blew through 2ml with barely any effort. I wasn't vaping as much as usuall even. My wattage is set at 11 and my voltage at 4.4. this setting produces my ideal vape and flavor, but is that voltage and wattage setting the reason im burning through juice? I have no clue why this much is being used. Does anybody have any ideas or has anyone had the similar problem with the VTR? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Whichever your last adjustment was is what it will use. If you set the volts, it will operate on volts. Set the watts and it will operate on watts.

What ohm coils are you using?

Most of my juice is 60pg/40vg and I use a variety of coils - anywhere from 1.8 to 2.5.
The highest I've ran my MVPs and VTRs is 9 watts and that was with a gunked up coil turning almost 3 ohms. Now I usually run 5 maybe 6 watts.
I keep 5 or 6 setups going every day and chain vape. Guessing that I go through about 5 ml a day total - maybe a bit more.

Its the iClear 30S, my iClear on my MVP goes through juice like mad too, it could have to do with the crazy amount of wicks they use with these coils I think. My other dual coils, kanger old and "upgraded" style, don't go through juice nearly as quickly.

Also congrats on quitting, I too just quit and started vaping, it's been 12 days for me now.

Thank you that was the most helpful out of all these answers. My coils are 2.1 ohms. The ohms on the vtr display screen shows 2.1 and the coil itself says 2.1 on it but occasionally the readout will say 2.2 ohms. I dialed my wattage down to 10 and today I'm gonna try it at 9. I did also just realize that it's a 3 ml tank and the 1.5 ml halfway mark is at the bottom of the glass. So maybe I just didn't realize half the liquid is hidden by the metal part of the tank. Just curious what does everyone else use for wattage on the VTR. I'm a vaping newb so I don't need anyone's rude remarks I have very little experience with any of this. Thanks!

Wattage is by preference, higher watts will equal hotter vapor and lower watts colder. With a atomizer like the iclear30s your vapor production will be restricted by the relatively small air flow holes. Increasing wattage will provide more vapor, but only to a point. Just go with what feels good to you. Any way you look at it that tank is gonna use more juice than a clearo, but you aren't even close to the realm of what you would go through with a rebuildable setup.

Personally when I had a vtr I was using it at around 10w as anything higher would start to give dry hits as the wicking could not keep up.

Hope this helps you some.

It is a matter of personal preference. When I used an MVP I started at the lowest setting and slowly increased until I was satisfied with the vapor production. I think with clearos I was vaping at 7-8 watts. I could have gone higher but that seemed good enough, and I was getting a LOT more vapor than I was on the ego batteries I left behind.

Sitting down, facing forward.
If it tastes burnt, you're too high. There is no right setting for a VTR, it all depends on the user, the liquid, the coil the wick material and a host of other factors. Just start lower and slowly work up to where it's best at. For example, I use a VTR with an iClear30 at 10watts and a Fogger at 14 watts. The Fogger can handle more power because it is wicked with cellulose rather than silica. Both the iClear and Fogger are two ohm coils.

All that vapor has to come from somewhere, which is why more liquid is consumed by dual coil or high power use. I go through 5ml in the Fogger in a day and 3ml in an iClear as well.
