Dan, either of these places near you?

Bull Dog Electronic Cigarettes

(877) 666-3226 ‎ · bulldogwholesale.com

Prime Vapes
32401 Kelly Rd, Fraser, MI ‎
(586) 823-2883 ‎ · primevapes.com

If so, pop in and introduce yourself and ask some questions. Put some items in your hand and maybe even test some juices out.

I would second the thought that a Provari and rewicking/recoiling is not a good recommendation for someone just wanting to start out vaping !
Let the guy start Vaping easily..and quit smoking...without all the flash and bang of a Vaping enthusiast.
I quit smoking after 40+ years with an eGo-c Cartrage kit....and would be perfectly happy to vape it daily.
Yes, months in- I do have a bunch of mods...eVic, The Natural, TEC, spinners, twists and vMods and eRoll....also DIY juice, wicks and coils !
And I find that my Big Round Tube Mods never leave home....too big and conspicuous to carry day to day !
Daily vape gear is my eRoll for stealth Vaping and vMods for easy pocketability !

Dan- To quit smoking and become a Vaper you only need two things.....
Good vapor producing gear, and some good vapor producing-tasty juice !
The kit you are looking at is good vape gear....
Take a look at Mt Baker Vapor and EC Blends for some good juice.
MBV is a great company...I buy all my DIY juice supplies from them....
Fast and inexpensive !

Best to You !

I found two, both about a 40 minute drive, in different directions.

About Us Only makes custome stuff.

Vaporcraft-Electronic Cigarettes, Major Brands, Halo, Provape, Provari line, Mini V2.5, Provape 1, Provari V2.5 Has limited brands.

Will these shops have stuff that will connect to the Spinner?

I can say for certain that they will but call them up and mention some products discussed here or what you have been researching and see what they say. Most brick and mortar stores and established websites will carry products to fit on the spinner. Cartomizers, atomizers and clearomizers are are staples through out the vaping industry and the 510/ego threaded connection is pretty standard.

You are buying all that for almost 70$. You can get a vamo with a vivinova at fastech, it comes with a really good battery and charger. Plus its cheaper.

Vamo - ~$50
Vivi - ~$12
18650 battery - ~$12.99
Charger - ~$20
Juice - ~$10
Shipping - ~$5
waiting 10-20 days for it

Tad bit more than $70...

And you only get one.

Thats all you need. It comes with two batteries. Im just saying, when I first started vaping, I had an ego set, bought it for 90$, came with two batteries and two tanks. I could have saved money, and had a better vaping experience with the vamo. One of the ego batt broke within two weeks.

The vaporcraft website is not very revealing but they do say that they have a broad range of products. If this does not include twists and/or spinners, then something is wrong. Like Str8_Aim says, give them a call to confirm. Also confirm that they will let you try samples because that is a great way to get an idea of the kind of flavours you will like. The other store is not right for your current needs.

Sorry cjoboy, I wanted to get off a quick reply but it came across a bit sharp.

I know that some people are going to be suited to larger battery mods right from the start. I just don't think that's the case for the majority of people coming to vaping from smoking. For one thing, backups are crucially important for someone craving a cigarette. The vamo might allow you to swap batteries but what happens if you leave it behind or drop it down a flight of stairs? At least when your second ego battery broke, you had something to fall back on.

Health Keeping Set?

I wouldn't recommend either of those set ups from FT to family members let alone someone I don't know. If the Vamo and Vivi's are real and not knock off's then they are buying them through 3rd party's and selling them lower than the original company's MSRP under cutting the competition by unfair margins.(like they have/are doing with Innokin products) Those batteries I might use in a flashlight but no where near my face. You get what you pay for. I also believe in helping the vaping community, buying from companies like Fast Tech, IMO, does not help move vapers and their/our cause further along. Again, just my opinion.

That being said, I am off to sleep.

Good luck Dan! :toast:

Wow, thanks for all the responses.

Since I am out and about a lot, I am concerned about size. The smallest battery I can find is this 350 mAh

Azure Vaping Black eGo MINI Battery, 350mAh

It is about 1 1/8 inch smaller. If I were to get two of these, I am assuming I could charge them with the charger that comes with the Spinner kit – they are both 420 mA.

Unfortunately the site with the starter kit does not have these small batteries.

Mini ego batteries are tiny and awesome for a few puffs on your way to where you're going, or for discrete vaping when you get there. The battery life is short and the voltage is fixed, unlike the spinner. I would not go out of your way to get one, but I certainly would not discourage you from picking one up.

For your starter kit, if I remember correctly you are offered a choice of spinners at 1300 mAh or twists at other mAh going down as low as 650. The 650 is fairly small and will do well in your shirt or jacket pocket. The 900 will be OK. The 1100 will be long. Twists and spinners are virtually identical, by the way.

Dan, I have one of those 350mah eGo Batteries...
Very, very small...great for stealth Vaping, but not for primary vape gear !
(You would get about two hours of Vaping out of a mini 350)

Go with the set you looked at at first at MVS !
A great kit, and a very good American vendor-(ozone park, NY) speedy delivery.
Then order some nice juices at Mt Baker Vapor...really good, inexpensive juice.
You will be Vaping in days...instead of researching.

(Both MVS and MBV are registered ECF suppliers and supporters !)

I think I will go with one 650 twist and one 1300 spinner.

How about the atty's. I really know nothing about them. Out of the ones in the drop down, what would you recommend?

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

To be honest, I think there are no bad options there. I would happily take two evods because I like them and I think they are also the best looking options on that list. I have had good experiences with iClear 16s also.

That is like telling someone who is about to go from riding a bike to getting their driver's license to go out and get a Corvette for their first car. Spending $50 starting out and learning what its all about is better than dropping $200+ on something he is just learning about. The Provari is a good product but not the be all to end all. Just IMO.

Lol, guess I should've checked with you before I posted my recommendation. I can recommend any product to anybody anytime I like. As far as the Provari goes, I never called it the "be all to end all". They'll be lots of suggestions for the op to take into consideration so if the product I recommend is over the budget, over advanced or just not what their looking for its up to them. It isn't my call or yours. For now we'll just agree to disagree and leave it at that.
