I think I converted somebody, by accident!

So I got my ego twist two weeks ago, and have loved it since the first vape. At first I was really hesitant to use it at work in front of people. In fact for the first week I would go outside and walk around the corner where I knew there would be no other people. I almost felt like I was hiding and doing something wrong. It didn't feel right.

But after a week of using it, and spending a lot of time on these forums, I started to become comfortable with it. This week I started to show my new device to a few people at work. The first was a non smoker. At first he was a little confused, and seemed like he wasn't sure about it, but when I told him that I only had one cigarette that day, he became really supportive about it, because he knows how much I usually smoke.

The next guy I showed it to is a smoker. The only reason I showed it to him is because I know he is a really gadgetity guy. Not sure if I spelled that right. He's into electronics, and gets every new gadget that comes out. He was immediately excited about it. My intention wasn't to get him to buy one, or "convert" him. I was just showing him my new toy. I also mentioned a brick and mortar store in the area that I had visited. He said that he would check it out, but I wasn't sure if he was serious, or if he was just talking.

The next day I came to work, and next thing I know, he's showing me his new ego setup. It's been a few days, and he hasn't had a cigarette since. Not only that, but he has his girlfriend started too, and instead of cigarettes she just wants more batteries, and more e-liquid.

It just goes to show that word of mouth goes a long way. I wasn't even trying to convert people. All I was doing is showing other people what I have, and next thing you know there are two other people vaping that otherwise wouldn't even know about it. I was thinking that it's also possible that this single event might have saved their lives. (they are both in their late 50's. Long time smokers) I know that's far fetched. Who knows if they'll stick with it. But the thought did cross my mind. I just think that's awesome! Here I am, only a month into my vaping journey, and I might have possibly accidently caused a positive change in two other peoples lives. I feel good tonight.

Nice! You should feel good. I enjoyed the fact that you feel like you have to justify the "converting"! This isn't religion, so no need to stop converting and trying to help folks! Keep it up.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But the point was I wasn't trying to do it. I wasn't showing him my setup and saying something like, "You should do this". I didn't even hint at it. I was just showing him what I was doing, and he was just interested in it naturally. It was just unexpected.

Sweet, I'm an accidental convert myself. A friend showed me his new eGo, the gadgeteer in me saw a hole in the defense of the wheezing smoker in me and got an eGo myself in a few days. A week after, I accidentally quit smoking. A week after that, my girlfriend "accidentally" got an eGo Twist. Two weeks after that, I got my tennis partner hooked.

Accident or no accident, vapng has many merits above and beyond analog smoking. More "smoke", more flavors, more variety, cleaner taste, better physiology, costs less. This is a new paradigm in personal enjoyment people. Vaping is sliced bread.
