After doing some research for my boss on ecigs I came across this forum I read some of it (Lets face it if I had read every thing here I'd still be reading...Great info so far Thanks to every one!!!!!) I decided that I did want to quite the analogs. So I tried to research what would be the best ecig for me? HA what a surprise I got upon finding all the info on what this brand is and what that brands about and whoa info over load.
Well I seen the ad on the top of one of the pages for the Inferno so I clicked on it took me to Volcano's web site and I decided to get the Volcano, There was no real info here on it and I guess I got caught up in the cool logo and name. Any way It came yesterday I got it charged put in the Vanilla cart and was very disappointed. Do not know if I was expecting to much or what. There was hardly any Vanilla flavor and it seemed as though I had to draw extra hard in order to get any vapor and I had this burning sensation in my throat. After several hits later and not really digging the Vanilla I decided to change the cart to the Cherry to see if it was just the Vanilla. Well the Cherry is better flavor I got a little better throat hit and more vapor.
Still it seemed that I have to drag longer on it than what one should to get the vapor that I feel it should put out or maybe I'm just too new at it and expecting too much. I am guessing maybe it may do better with moded carts as I had read on here.
So this morning I got up put in a milk chocolate cart to go with my coffee it has decently good flavor and I am getting a decently good hit but it still seems a little sluggish. I am definitely going to get some juice and carts and try that. But I am also going to see about a different model too. Any suggestions?
Well Good morning to all and thanks for letting me vent. Vapor On.....:vapor:

First, welcome! Vaping ain't smoking but it's close so you'll go through the typical "dial it in" process. As you figured out, longer drags are pretty much standard with the vaping gig. New atomizers take a little time and use before they become fog machines so give it a chance. A new atty also needs a little time before it produces good flavor. It takes some trial and error but you will quickly figure out how long and hard (softer actually) to draw to get a lethal mosquito killing cloud.

You spend a little time and money before you find a juice you like. Nothing will taste remotely like an analog so you can give up the search. Don't put pressure on yourself. I started vaping in situations where I couldn't smoke. Along the way I fine-tuned the process and it occured to me that I didn't need analogs anymore.

The inferno batteries are actually really good. You probably got a regular 510 atty with it which is why your not really getting any throat hit. I suggest getting a low res 306 atty and a drip tip. That's what I use with my inferno batteries and get really good flavor and throat hit. I prefer dripping over using carts. That way it takes away the hassle of having to fill carts throughout the day. Drip 3 drops on the atty and your good to go.

I don't think it's equipment so much. I think you are expecting, maybe not too much, but something different. A lot of us came to vaping with low expectations. You spent time on this forum reading all euphoria so you came in with high expectations. Vaping is different than smoking and it takes time to find out how much better it is (on many fronts). I smoked for over 30 years with no intention or expectation of quitting. I was on a business trip and realized I hadn't had an analog in 3 days. I broke down and sobbed like a baby when I realized what was possible. It's funny how one can feel when your death sentence is pardoned...

Do a search for "favorite vape" and see what others have found to be really good. Some vanilla juices are great and others are just a hint of vanilla. Samples can get expensive, but the little 3ml bottles let you try several juices for the price of one big bottle that you might not like.

Browse around and you will find "your" favorite.

Look here for good info: The ECF Library

I agree that this is not an instant process. Leaving analogs is not immediate for most of us. I started egigs about a year ago but didn't stop using analogs. The effect I was getting from those beginning ecigs was marginal. But, about 3 months ago I got a different ecig that used KR808D-1 cartomizers instead of my previous atomizer/cartridge ecig. That pushed me over the edge and the leaving analog happened. Now, if I try an analog I taste the bad in it that I never used to notice! Good luck!

The process of vaping is different from smoking, it's a slow long draw as opposed to a quick strong puff.
After a while it becomes second nature and easy. The flavor you taste will improve over time as your
taste buds recover from smoking, the healing takes some time, and even food will taste better!

Juices with a higher % of VG will produce more visable vapor if that is what you seem to miss most.

All good suggestions, and eventually you may find yourself trying out lots of different PV's, atties, e-juices and accessories. It's a fast changing vaping world! A LR (low resistance) atty will definitely give you more vapor and stronger TH on your Inferno. Kevbow recommended the LR306 atty, which is awesome, but LR510 atties are also great. Best flavor award goes to the Cisco LR306, IMO. These are meant to be dripped into.
The best source for these (only?) is AvidVaper.com.

What I got is just the Volcano not the magma or Inferno. Not sure if there is a diff in batteries but I have read that the Volcano and Blu are basically the same. And there does not seem to be to many places that sell extras for it besides volcano:(.
I did do some looking around yesterday and I ordered a Joye ego. The wife is going to kill me. Please just send black roses :). Any way I read a lot good things about it and the 510 which has supplies available at several different online stores. Also got a sample box of juice and some blank carts. Like I said the wife is going to kill me.
Thanks for the advice. Vap on:vapor:

As someone already recommended, go to the ECF library. Invest a bit of time now and save a bunch later.

Make sure you stay in the 5+ volt range. They just have more power and depending on the tip and juice you use, it is possible you will draw less than what you had to with an analog. If you do take a 3-4 second drag, you may have to blow a bit out and inhale about half or so to avoid coughing.

All the best!!

n2xe nice to meet you. You are right I had spent to much time reading and researching and building myself up that I expected some thing still not sure what. And after vaping all day yesterday I have found that I do like it. A lot better than anologs. I do believe that the Vanilla was the wrong cart to start with and should have left it on the shelf. Still has no real flavor (sorry I really like Vanilla) and still burns the throat. (The flavor thing maybe my taste buds too since I smoked for 30+ years.) But I have other flavors and they all seem to be good and I believe the Volcano is getting wore in. Things seem to be better.
I did how ever do some more research and ordered an Joye Ego. Had a lot of good reviews. Only after finding out that the Volcano and Blu are basically the same and I did not really want the the Blu. Also got a sample pack of juice. The wife is going to kill me.. do you think flowers will smooth things over

Trust me, your wife won't kill you. :) In fact, the opposite may be true. I think you will love the eGo you ordered. The kit probably cost you less than a couple of cartons of cigarettes and it will last you much, much longer! You will need to experiment with different flavors until you find the ones you like. That can be a bit of an expense, but it is still cheaper than cigarettes. The added benefit of not smelling or tasting like an ashtray may actually make your wife want snuggle and kiss more often. :)

Excellent news Hallinass! You can't go wrong will the eGo. It takes a week or two to dial things in. As others said, make sure you blow out that wretched packing juice in the atty before you fire it up. It does take a while to find the right juice so be patient. You will spend some time and money at this so open up an account at the florist shop. Welcome my friend and good luck!

Welcome and congrats on getting things figured out. I use the 510 and the Ego PT and am very satisfied with them. The juice is a little tougher. I had to get triple flavoring to taste anything (in the beginning), but I think that was just fried taste buds from analogs! I was so disappointed the first time I tried a flavor after reading all the hype here and I couldn't taste or smell a thing. Now I can and it's soooo great. Starting to do my own juices (equip is on the way, darn that mailman)! Happy vaping and keep us posted!
