I have one all boxed up and ready to take the ride to munroe in the morning. Take a Q-tip and see if the board can be wiggled back and forth by cleaning the positive contact terminal. You might have a loose board. My blem felt that way, and when I looked inside while pressing the button I couldn't see the board move, but when I cleaned the contacts earlier today, it was immediately apparent that the board was free floating in its slot.

Thanks, just tried it..

Seems fine..

I think I remember one or two others having similar issues in the past couple months..

Probably best to contact ProVape on Tuesday...

Sorry to hear about yours.. :(

Zendesk ticket submitted..

There's definitely something wrong with it.. I noticed it on day-1, but gave it a few days..

Also did a boatload of all kinds of side-by-side comparisons, with one in each hand.. switched hands.. sync'ed presses, alternating presses.. thumbs, index fingers.. quick presses, long presses...

Even the 6-month-old, which has seen a lot more use, has the button-release "thump" that this one doesn't.. I expect a tiny amount of variance between them, and the younger Big Yoda seems a wee bit stronger than ol' black & blue, at least in terms of resistance.. But the new one is in a weak/mushy/sinking league of its own..

Little difficult to tell, since the magnified window distorts things.. But looking down the tube, it appears the 2 dabs of glue for the board are okay.. Maybe one of them is a little smaller than it should be, when compared to my others, but I don't think that's it.. I think it's probably a button or switch tolerance issue.. Who knows what that might snowball into, further down the road, if left unchecked..

Poor little fella.. We'll get you fixed up right & good, yes we will.. :D

I sent mine in for the same thing...they fixed and cleaned and its just like new! Only cost me 5 dollars postage.

Yeah, I think there's been a handful of us here who have had button/switch issues the past 2-3 months..

I always try to test just about every feature imaginable those 1st few days, including stuff like auto-scroll, round-robin'ing, slow blink & fast blink (battery), etc.. Everything was fine except that button/switch.. I wouldn't have been surprised if it had gotten even worse had I continued to use it, or do further damage elsewhere by squishing the button down in there...

Anyway, I used the same packing peanuts it came with, and used this to wrap it..

I had looked on the inside and with my older Provari that I sent in...I got it in Jan...there was like a piece of metal around the board. My newer one didnt have that. When I got my older back I looked inside and that piece of metal was gone. Maybe that had something to do with it.

Who knows.. Seems like they're always doing minor tweaks to it, inside & out..

I have 3 V2.5's from the past 6 months -- and all 3 are slightly different sub-versions...

Anyway, sounds like they might have switched out your internals..

I can also angle the button up and down but that's because the button on the board is dead center in the middle if the fire button so it acts as a pivoting point.

One of mine is also dead-center (the other is slightly off).. I can angle it back & forth -- but it's a slight angle..

The one I sent in tilted at a pretty severe angle...

Trust me when I say the button was weak mush & sinking in too far when pressing it..

I'm guessing it could be any number of things, from the way it was built, to a part whose measurements were off or whose quality was sub-standard..

If I had to pick something, it would be that it was just a bum switch...

I have some manufacturing experience, and I know this stuff just happens sometimes, even to the best companies/products/employees..

But ProVape is taking care of it.. :thumb:

The prob did cause it was doing a funky thing changing modes while I was pressing the button to vape. I would be in the middle of a vape and it would stop and light up to the 2 dashes.
