Just got my Passthru...Issues with Button/Switch

Just got my PS passthru today. I would say nice device but i am having issues with the button/switch ( though other then that i love it )

It seems that if i press the button normally with my finger, it will not work, sometimes it will instantly, sometimes i have to press it 10 times!

Now, i noticed if i just push the very very bottom corner of it with my finger nail, my nail barely on the button, 98% of the time it works.

I have checked the adapter to make sure it contacting the switch, i have tried loose, snug and tight with the adapter and atty, I have tried it all ( though i have not taken it apart as i am not to comfortable with that seeing as it it brand new )

Besides that its great! but its very annoying that i have to use my nail on the very corner of the button for it to work.

Bad switch/button? Anything i can do? It seems some have this issue and i have not found a clear answer really at the moment....

Mine did the same thing at first. It doesn't do it anymore though. Either I just had to kinda break it in a bit, or I am used to it and press hard now. I would ask Casey or Steve if it keeps annoying you though. Send a ticket through the web site under contact us....

The main thing I heard about this issue is to press the button fully before it will activate.

If pressing the whole button firmly all the way down doesn't work, It prob has something to do with the way your switch is set in the tube. It is, in theory, pinned in place, but if it is for some reason slightly twisted one way or the other, this could cause your symptom. Try to slightly twist your switch with the adapter off, and see if it sets in better, this may fix your issue, don't he-man the dang thing over, as you may break it, or if you aren't as OCD as me, just send it a ticket.

This, or it could just need some breaking in.

Mine is making a clicking noise today on release. I didn't notice that before. Is this okay? It just started doing it today. It's only when I release it. It goes "click"

I sent in a ticket and was informed that if i press VERY hard down on the button then it should work...Well, I am doing that as we speak and it has been working great ever since.

It just seems that pushing so hard down on this button that its just asking to break? Not sure how well they are built, but as stated if you do push VERY firm on the button its good to go! I assume this is the case with a lot of the PTs.

and if any of my friends ever got out of line during a drunken weekend, the usb cable can also be use as a strangling device!!! KIDDING!!!

awwww... Casey knows better than I ... The sad part is, I help assemble and she doesn't !!!! LOL ... Case = the know it all!!!

The button actually just needed to be seated then. It sits on a plastic bridge, and if raises or is off center, you have to press it a certain way to activate. By pressing down hard on it, it can only seat 1 way with both leads off to their respective sides!!!
