I started with a 650 Kanger with eVod tanks. Because I needed longer battery life, I upgraded to an vv X6 battery with a Protank2 with 2.2 coils. I love being able to use my tanks on either battery, and can pop an eVod on the X6. I don't have to keep buying different equipment, tanks or coils. And since I was sooo new, i was only worried about ease and convenience. It got me to quit, and it works for me. You'll find what you like the best, and when you find it, you'll know.

see lannie you are getting the lingo down - tootle puffer - regulated - :) it really is fun learning I think your hubby will like the Istick 30 what juice are you vaping, what nic and what is the pg/ vg ratio?

Right now, I'm enjoying strawberry juice from Ares, at max VG and 11 mg nicotine. The nicotine level seems to be good for me at the moment, the VG is smooth, which I like, and the strawberry is DIVINE. It's my first strawberry, granted, so I can't say it's better than most, but dang, it's like there's a bowl of fresh strawberries in front of me! I love it! So fresh and sweet smelling. I ordered 10 different flavors in small 10 ml sizes, plus two sample packs, so 6 more 3 ml tiny bottles of different flavors. I have 16 to try. Well, 15 now that I've used the strawberry. I rated it 10 out of 10 in MY book! LOL! I think she gets her flavors from Capella's, and I've heard they're really good. I'm hoping I like the rest of the flavors as much as I do the strawberry.

By the way, I was talking to my husband last night and he said there IS an adapter in the iStick kit he ordered. It comes with an adapter (don't ask me what kind or what it's for... I guess so you can use different types of tanks) and the charger cord which will fit into my wall charger, and we already have the Aspire glass tanks that SHOULD fit it, so I think we're all set.

You sound like me. Right now, I just want simple and unscrewuppable. So the tanks on my EVOD are just called EVOD tanks? I don't really know what their proper name is...

I haven't been here long but this is my favourite new member thread. If you go back to the first page and compare your recent posts, you can already see how far along you've come.

Nice work Lannie. Can't wait to see you cloud chasing and chuckin' .... (young whippersnapper word for putting out big clouds).

the little adapter that comes in the Istick kit will permit YOU to use your evod tank on the Istick There is another gizmo that can be purchased separately for about 10.00 that screws on to the top of the Istick and supposedly protects the contact on the Istick from sinking down in to the body of the battery, the gizmo flaps up and down like a hinge I bought it - I don't use it now - my contacts on my Istick haven't moved one iota and I change tanks and toppers up quite a bit.

These are the 2 binkies I use now most of the time...lol, sorry for the use of binky. The 1st few days I started, it was rarely out of my hand. Hubby named them pacifiers...I liked binky better and it's just at habit, so the name stuck.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I hear that every day. "Daddy is that your binky?','Daddy why don't you have your binky', 'Daddy can I try your binky?' (Last one in a big NO!, btw.)

I thought I was the only one going through the binky phase.

Another funny story, when I started I thought 'cloud chasing' was what my kids did after I exhaled.

LMAO!!!!! I'm so glad I'm not the may one....hahahahahaha... I doubt I'll ever graduate to cloud chasing. I just wanted a small, convenient, efficient nicotine delivery system. It worked, in one day...so if it's not broke, I'm not fixing it. My dream gear is to get my hands on a Provari one of these days, that's my ideal tootle puffer.

Now that I have 2 purple mods, I may have to "change" the little one into something special!

Maybe something like this would be the next step? ^^

Here's mine(sorry for lack of quality, camera refused to focus):

Oooooooooh, that's cute!!!! Don't apologize for loving purple....it's the best! Hubby is also a purple fan, the car he had when we met was purple, and he ordered it that way! I have a lavender kitchen, a plum guest room, purple accents in the upstairs bathroom, and an amethyst wall in my living room. Both of us love purple, which is a very good thing!!!!

I'm so glad you guys all have such a good sense of humor! It makes it easier for me to admit when I make a blunder, and hopefully I'll learn from each mistake.

BINKIE! I love it! Mine are going to be called binkies now, too, because at a little over one week in, I rarely let them out of my sight! LOL! But I thought I'd be happy with non-flashy, non-ostentatious black. NOW I WANT A BINKIE WITH BLING!!!! Just these past couple of days, I've been surreptitiously looking at different replacement batteries - in colors! They're not that expensive, and with the money we won't have to spend on my monstrous cigarette habit this month, maybe I SHOULD get a couple more batteries. IN COLORS. Yeah, I think so!

(I am NOT going to be a gadget freak, I am NOT going to be a gadget freak, I am NOT ... right.)

But I like girly things sometimes, too. Being a "farmer" and dealing with cows and poop and chickens and poop and poop and poop... I don't always look (or smell! LOL!) the part, but sometimes I feel like doing something girly. I'll tell Rich I need some bling or I'll be ever so unhappy and morose. (D'ya think he'll go for it, being such a Scrooge and all?) You guys back me up, OK? ;)

I'm pretty sure it means the wattage you should use on the 1.8ohm coils not voltage. Check this out. There's a chart and a very clear explanation to help you understand resistance and voltage and how they relate to the voltage you are using.

Tutorial: Variable Voltage and Vaping Power Chart ⋆ MistHub

Also, I wanted to bring this post^^^ back up. Yesterday those wouldn't open for me, but today they do. So looking at that chart, the 1.8 ohm SHOULD have worked on my battery. Unless it's the mah on mine that was too low. Is that it? Because 1.8 ohms intersects 3.7 volts, right on the edge, but still in the green. What I cannot seem to get through my thick skull is when I was trying to use that Aspire, I was getting almost no vapor and it seemed "cold," however the chart says it borders on "hot." And my husband tried it a few times and said he wasn't having a problem with it (he was getting vapor just fine), so maybe I just have a defective sucker. ROFLMAO!

My "sweet spot" seems to be 2.5 ohms at the 3.7 volts on my battery. I guess it's all very individual, eh?

OH! And something else I just read has me puzzled also. Somebody please 'splain me this: When I ordered this beginner kit, I could have sworn it was talking about having 510 threads, and that any tank with 510 threads would work on it, but I just looked up the tanks (plain ol' Kanger EVOD) and it says they're e-Go threads and NOT compatible with anything with 510 threads without an adapter. I think. Gosh I feel like I have bees in my brain. Anyway, all this time I've been thinking I need something with 510 threads, and the Aspire tanks are 510 threaded, and they fit right on there. The mini protanks I think ALSO said they were 510 threaded, and Mt. Baker told me they'd fit on my battery OK, too. What am I missing here? There's something I'm not "getting" yet. If the tanks I have aren't 510 threads, then my battery must not be 510 threads, meaning the Aspire and the mini protank tanks shouldn't fit. Right? Where have I gone off the road?

Thanks for being patient with me. :)

I saved that pic from when I was researching starting vaping and comparing all the different gear. Before I made a choice, my son brought home a Kanger starter set with 2 batteries and 2 tanks. I still have them and use them. Part of my decision to go with the gear I have is that all of my tanks (eVod and protanks) work with all of my batteries. I can switch out at will. I still have juice ADD, and sometimes switch once an hour...lol...
