So all you Vamo owners know that the center post/connection sits a bit higher than flush and there is a little gap between the tank and the body. So I very carefully turned it upside down and ran it across a very fine flat file and made it flush with the top of the mod.
But now when I screw any of my tanks all the way down it shows 0 ohms and I get nothing out of it but if I back it off again to about where it was before I file it, it works fine but then it is a little loose.
Did I hose my Vamo? Are you not supposed to file that center post flush?

I don't think you should have filed that down. A little space is needed between the top of a lot of mods and a tank. This is normal and actually a necessary thing. You need that space for proper airflow. Some mods have holes or cuts for airflow to allow a flush mount tank, but I don't think the vamo has these. As a result, if a tank sits flush on the top of the vamo, it won't get proper airflow.

Sorry bud, I think I have to agree with what they said. That was probably a bad idea, it's supposed to be raised like that, and pretty much all APVs are built like that now; variable and mechanical alike.
