I ordered a Provape-1 last week and it still hasn't gotten here yet (my first mod ever). I bought a 3-sample back with my provape. But I've already spent around $100 on juices people were raving about. I bought 30 ml of Bobas Bounty & Gorilla juice and I haven't even tried it yet. I also spent $50 at EC blends ordering 15 mg of 6 different flavors. Am i being stupid? I'm thinking about going to Aliceinvapeland and ordering another 3 15mg size bottles of creamsicle, white rabbit, etc.

How long will a 30mg/15mg bottle last an average user?

What I've been doing is buying 5ml bottles where possible to try a juice and then buy 36ml+ of known quantities. So far, i've stuck to that rule and been happy with the results.

Problem is a lot of juice makers only sell 36 causing me to pass up things i might like, but as I keep saying, I'm doing this to save money, so if i waste money on a juice I don't like I'm not actually saving anything.

I am perty heavy vapor and 30 ml last me about a week. A Lot of juices need a couple of weeks to reach their best flavor. This is called steeping time. This time does not start until the first time you open the bottle.

Once you find your 'go to' flavour you can make sure you have supplies of that in larger volumes and then try the smaller sizes to try a new flavour out.

Here in the UK most places only seem to go as small as 10ml which for me is about 3 days of vaping (I used to smoke a pack a day), 5ml samples would be ideal to test a flavour before buying 30ml or more if it suits.

Basically as a pack a day smoker, a 30ml bottle of juice seems to last me a week to 10 days.

I discovered a great way to taste test flavors yesterday. I went to my 1st 'Vaping in Phoenix' monthly club event (held at an awesome micro brewery!!) and I'm guessing that each person brought 4-5 juices and passed them around so everyone could try them. I don't know if there's a vapers club in your area or if this is standard practice at vaper club meetings but I must have sampled 30 different flavors while I was there. I wrote down the names to a few and will be placing orders based on what I tasted.

As far as how long 15ml bottles last me it's hard to say. I go through about 15ml of heathers heavenly vapes 'gandalf' a week but have other flavors in my rotation that last me a lot longer as I don't vape them as much. I carry 4 clearomizers with me to work, 2 with 'gandalf' and usually 2 others with 'random' flavors from my rotation.

I have a slightly different problem from you. I have a lot of little samples, and am quickly discovering the flavors I love, and the ones I don't. And I don't know how long I should 'hold onto' the ones I really dislike... Like, is chocolate really gonna taste better in a week? A month? Or is chocolate going to stay chocolate and I just don't like it. (although I love the taste of chocolate normally-I just dislike it vape style. But its new. who knows)

I bought a 'large' 10 ml sample of something I thought sounded great, but quickly discovered I hated it. Stick to the 5 ml bottles until you discover where your vaping taste lies.

I've been thru 35+ flavors...found a 2-3 that I can vape for long periods. Just ordered 10 more samples looking for a favorite. I made a mistake early on and ordered several 30ml bottles of a juice I thought I liked...but my tastes changed and my tolerance for nic levels changed. My advise is to sample sample and sample and don't stock more than 2-3 weeks worth until you settle on 2-3 flavors and your nic level. It's challenging keeping the pipeline going when you don't know what you like and need...at least for me.

I vape a bunch of different flavors all day. I really have not found 1 flavor to vape all day. Therefore I really don't know how long a 1 ounce bottle lasts. I am now purchasing 5 ml sample bottles and I vape them on a rebuildable dripping atomizer called the Trivecca from OKC vapes. It was $11 and a great way to sample flavors before commiting to larger bottles. Drip about 3 drops and can get about 5 or 6 very flavorful hits before redropping. I just got my first bottles of Bobba's and gorilla juice and it is real good. I use vivi nova tanks and the wonderful flavor seems to disappear after the first couple of tokes. Gonna try them in a slotted carto tank soon. IMHO Alice in vapeland flavors were just alright for me. I still want to try crunkberries. Package presentation is awsome and I appreciated that. I think you have a good amount of liquid to enjoy for now. Maybe focus on getting some more tanks, cartos, atties or whatever delivery system you use.

My husband and I have been at this for a few months now and we're still pretty much just buying sample 5ml sizes. So far we've only found one vendor with 3 different flavors that we buy in 30ml. One 30ml bottle lasts about a week or two with both of us using it depending on how many other flavors we're vaping. Luckily if I hate something he loves it and vice versa so we haven't wasted too much time or money with the samples.

Yeah, I'm new at this too, but I'm finding that I can't be sure from one day to the next what something will taste like. I've already changed my mind completely about a couple of juices just based on a week's steeping. Flavors deepen and the acidic, sometimes chemical, tastes that are very pronounced in some juices when they're fresh can soften or disappear.

I wish all the juice makers had samplers. I lucked out buying large bottles from Copper Creek, but I'm very happy to have been able to try several from HHV and The Vapor Room. The Vapor Room's 555 is one that changed in a few days from unremarkable to great. I'm sure there will be more. But I wish I could try six or ten or more from Ahlusion and some others.

I've always ordered small bottles to sample but to be honest even though I have a lot of different juice I usually only vape one or two regularly. At vapercon I went crazy buying juice that I tasted and liked at the time and hate now. Some juices I just bought at vapercon like some swagger from pinkspot without trying first because people rave about it and I think it is disgusting. I make all of my juice now and still only vape pretty much one juice all the time with one other homemade juice that is in the rotation sometimes. It takes awhile to find "your" juice though I think we've all done what your doing.

I also have lots of samples in a baggy...keep trying them but, like you said, chocolate is always chocolate, coffee is always coffee, only the tobaccos really change enough to, well, really change...at least that's my experience so far. I've tried about 35-40 juices so far and if I steep it for a week and hate it...I'm always going to hate it. If I think it's just OK...it might be worth another chance. If I like it...well, I like it.

I'll kind of echo what's already been said. How long a juice will last depends on how much you vape, obviously. I buy my daily vape 3oz at a time because of the mg I vape at right now (1oz bottle with nicotine + 2oz bottle of flavored 0mg nic, mixed together), and if that's pretty much all I vape it lasts me about 3 weeks. If I use some of my other flavors, it'll last me about a month.

I don't like to jump straight into buying 30ml (1oz) bottles for new flavors if I can avoid it. I've found that there are some flavors that I love the real deal but really dislike vaping and a few flavors that I dislike the real deal but enjoy vaping. Then there's a few that I love the real deal but can't quite find the perfect juice yet (coffees and vanillas, mostly). I'm not a big fan of the idea of doing a "juice swap" through the mail so it's a little easier for me to toss out 3ml of a 6ml sample that I didn't like instead of keeping around 27ml of a 30ml bottle I bought, didn't like and keep staring at thinking to myself, "Maybe my tastes will change?"

here, there and everywhere
I have been vaping almost 3 weeks. I don't want to think about how many bottles of e-juice I have bought lol It is really hard to hold back but they are giving great advice. I couldn't taste anything at first no matter what I vaped. Now that my tastebuds are adjusting to not smoking, I am tasting a lot more. I found that I need extra flavor on most things. One thing I did was get "similar" flavors. If I don't like one stand alone, I mix it with another to create my own without buying it already blended. It keeps me from getting bored with one and I find certain flavors taste better blended. I am starting to DIY now. I hope to make them to suit "my" tastes without buying all of these samples that I may never vape.

I hope you enjoy vaping as much as I do!!

Lots of good advice!!! Buy Samples!!!!!! If you get a good collection of samples from well know vendors then you can go to the sample trading thread and trade samples with other people! Great way to try stuff without paying $20 give or take for a 30ml bottle that you don't like. Most vendors have sample packs like Alice in Vapeland which you mentioned. They actually just came out with a sampler pack of all their Juices for $30. Get it!! Their stuff is great!! Some Vendors don't have Samplers like Ahlusions but if you bought something from them and didn't like it you could easily trade it with someone on here because everyone wants their stuff. Also once you start getting your stuff in the mail make sure to STEEP it. At least 2 weeks. It sucks but you can't make a good judgement unless its steeped! Happy Vaping, welcome to your new hobby!
