The purists are going to hate me I'm sure but I do love the P16 as it is. It finally happened though, I was trying to convince myself it never would but I was kidding myself, it's only ever a matter of time with me, I customise everything eventually.

I had a go at my P16, not a big go, just a bit, it started with David saying the body on the new models were 2mm shorter. I know, it's only 2mm but I'm a man obsessed, I even shorten clearomisers FFS! So I nervously and carefully took a couple of mm off the body..

I've been waiting for David to produce some chamfered top caps for a while but thought I'd have a go myself, afterall what's the worst that could happen? :p

Well I'd done it now, so what the hell, I took a few mm off the horns and took the "fishmouth" back into more of a pronounced 'V'. I too a good few mm off the button too, just for luck. I knew it was going to leave the hole as I'd measured it first, but I thought it'd look interesting. I'm going to polish the brass pin visible inside it later on, for now I quite like the rough look it has.

It's now 68mm long and 57g in weight and mirror polished, works just as well as the day it was delivered but it fits my hand a bit better now..

Wow man that looks really cool, I would have it all scratched up in no time though. Very impressive it almost looks like a whole new device.

Thanks :)

I'm terrible for customising stuff, I have a thing about owning 'unique' objects, it's an affliction really

I didn't want to make this look anything other than a Super T though, I love Davids designs and devices otherwise I'd have bought something else. I am basically married to this device and sold all my others once I bought it bar the SD I pictured it with, it's the only other device I own and I only use that for when I'm doing heavy manual stuff as I don't want to risk damaging the P16.

It's truly mine now though, it's a P16 but there isn't another one exactly the same..

That. Looks. GREAT! You definitely have a gift.. between this and the Screwdriver, the work you've done has vastly improved the look of these devices.

Hi Natureboy..

Sorry I missed this post when I replied to Susan yesterday. Thanks for the compliment but I wouldn't call it a gift as I didn't design or make the originals just customised them a bit to my taste. It's nice that people seem to like them though, the next one in my sights is the GGStealth, I already know I'm going to do something to it but I've only had it a couple of days so I'm going to spend at least a month getting to know it first before I decide what to do to it..
