I think I'm having a clearo problem?

A few days ago, I swapped a tank with a friend, and ended up with this beauty (attached). Everything was fine until I tried to change my heads... The first "new" (reused, but cleaned) head I put in gummed up the threads with the wick being slightly too long... An easy fix if I ever get around to trimming it. Put in a NEW new head and the hits taste dry still, after ~14 hours filled. It's filled with flavors I've been using for awhile now with no problem. Is this a bad coil, or did I hit it wrong, or what? I mean, the head is definitely the cheapest part to replace if necessary, so I'm not really concerned about that, but is that dry taste eventually going to go away, or is it stuck? I have primed it, but mistakenly forgot until after the first hit... Which I thought could also be the problem... But I was wondering if the taste would return to normal eventually.

firing the coil before allowing the wicks to take in the liquid (either by unfired prime hits, or just giving it time to soak in) CAN leave a bad taste in the head. They are cheap enough that you can just swap it out. but if you want to mess with it more, you can try rinsing the head out really good with hot water, give it a day to dry, then try again. it still may taste burnt, and if so, chuck it.

And yeah, thats a PT2mini v2.
