Got my dse-801 today for an overseas supplier who shall remain nameless........

Dropped some of my (mostly vg) juice into a blank cartridge and didn't get enough menthol. Injected some menthol solution right into the cartridge (roughly 75% vodka and 25% menthol crystals) and I am in heaven. Voluminous vapour and tasty tasty menthol. Now THIS could get me off analogs for good.

Downside. The dse-801 is big. When they say it is the size of a pen, think fountain pen. Not discreet. If someone saw you puffing on this on the street, they would notice.

It is elegant and sexy. Not unlike the cigarette holders I used to collect, including the tapered mouth piece. Makes me want to dress up in a fancy evening gown and vape at an elegant party. With cocktails.

Hey, now there's a thought. My husband, who is a consultant, has done some work with liquor companies on the resurgence of interest in cocktails and mixed drinks. The one thing missing is the truly elegantly dressed, Marlene Dietrichesqe femme fatale........wouldn't it be great to get one of the vodka companies to include a beautiful model sucking (sorry guys) on an e-cig in one of their commercials? On top of that, cocktail flavoured juice......no nic, but to mix.

Maybe I'm giving away my chance to be a millionaire!!!!

Leslie - I agree. I love my penstyles. I also ordered from China. I don't care that they are bigger. The vapor is more consistent than the 901 or even my pipes. Just last week, I got blue 801's with a blue led. COOL.

The only critique I can offer so far is that sometimes, after a while the cartridge filling squishes back toward the mouth piece which diminishes the vapour a bit. It seems to be when the cartiridge runs out of juice anyway so I just take a pair of eyebrow tweezers and pull it back toward where the atomizer is and drip some more juice.

I find myself holding it in my mouth like a pipe, including having vapour drift up through my nose.........kinda what I imagine a hookah would be like.

I thought I would have to use vg to get this kind of vapour, but the JC juice from Sean is going strong. I'm actually using the Kona coffee with a touch of menthol solution and it is just perfect. Smooth, none of that gagging sensation that reminds me of nicorette inhaler.

Yum, delicious, and (?) nutritious.

I've found the same issue with all those style cart's stuffing needing to be pulled up a bit between topping and usually pull mine up about an 1/8" or so when doing so and then adding a drip once more so it makes contact wet, rather than adding a drip directly to the atomizer bridge.

I also tend to trim off any "loose hairs" that fray and find that it helps in the leeching process after.

Try this recipe i found in the DIY e-liquid... for recipes only thread....

1 ml vg
2ml brandy extract
2 ml marlburough low nic
3 drops 36mg no flavor
nice smoke not harsh and nice flavor

I tried it and really liked it.
