I think my new device is faulty? Can someone give me some advice please

Hello,

I recently purchased a Tecc arc 4 from my local shop. Its got a 2200 battery. I vape at 12watts but only seem to be getting 200 puffs per a full battery which lasts me about 6 hours. Does anyone think they could be a fault with it? Thank you.

Not familiar with that device but it is a built in battery and similar to my iStick TC40W which I do get good life on but constant chain vaping will make it drain fast. Does it get fully drained and shuts off?

Thanks for the quick reply Steve. Yeah I suppose I do chain it about a 5 second gap between tokes. About 10 tokes total. would that effect the battery life? It shuts off at about 250 puffs and a total vaping time of about 20 mins.

Sounds like short battery life to me and we need a battery guru to do the math for you. I do get most of a day out of my iStick though. I never really concentrated on how many puffs I take with it though. Another reason for a replaceable battery or have two so when one is charging you can use the other.

Not the best to be honest. my brother has the mini version which is about 1000. it seems to be a more powerfull toke. Mine feels like it takes longer to fire up if you know what I mean, I have to hold the button for longer whereas his is instant.

Funny, it's obviously an old istick 20watt yet advertises it to be 40watts??

Maybe it's so old that the battery life has dwindled.

Sounds like a week battery, I get 500 puffs or so at 25 watts on a 2500mah battery.

Welcome and glad you joined. Looks like your kit comes with two 1.5 ohm coils as supplied. Are the coil(s) identified as 1.5 or 0.15 ohms that have been causing this problem? Could hit "Reply" tab lower left hand corner and I or someone else will get back to you.
Available Coils/Resistance:
1.5 ohm – Normal mods
0.15 ohm (Ni) – Variable temperature mods

At an estimated 90% mod efficiency, you should theoretically be getting a performance (presuming a 1.5 Ohm coil) akin to:

Estimated total runtime: 36 min (firing constantly)
Estimated # 5 sec puffs : 428

It does sound like the battery might be running at around 50% of the capacity it should have when brand new.
