So the guy at my local smoke shop let me try the electronic cig that they were selling. Now it may be the fact that it was a really ****ty e cigarette but when i took a drag off of it, i felt only a little bit of "vapor" suck into my mouth no matter how hard i tried to inhale it in. I thought, ok it probably doesnt feel like i got as much because its alot more smoother of a hit. But when i exhaled i also noticed that there was barely any vapor coming out.
and it wasnt just me, the guy demonstrated it before i did and i noticed the same thing with him.

i cant remember the brand, but if i were to get one i want one that has alot more vapor.

i was thinking of getting a modern vapor, is that a good choice? or can you recommend any that would do what i want it to?

thanks

There are several great models out there and everyone has a "favorite". The 510 and 901 are very popular and produce great vapor. Vapor amount also depends on the juice. More VG (as opposed to less or only PG) produces more vapor.

I'd look around the forum and wait for more responses. I don't think ANY e-cig is perfect (they all have a quirk or two) but for a decent price, you really can't go wrong with a 510 or 901. There are others (Janty Stick, Screwdriver, etc) that mostly address battery life I think, which is the biggest issue in my opinion, but these cost more money.

Personallly I have a 510 and though not perfect (again, none are), I think it is great, and they are starting to come out with better batteries now that last longer per charge. Also check out youtube for lots of video reviews on different models. Good luck!

Welcome!

Personally I'd recommend the 901, they are inexpensive, and fairly reliable. You can also get either automatic batteries or manual. Most of us here prefer manual batteries, but the auto ones work ok as well. The 901 is a very good starter pv. But browse around the forum, check out the video reviews for all of the various types/ models. The 510 also has a loyal following and as far as I know is a good choice as well.

As far as where to order from, everyone has their favorites. I generally order from Rocky Mtn. Vapor Home - Rocky Mountain Vapor you have reached the mountain top of electronic cigarettes!, or from Heaven-gifts.com Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop (Ruyan-Direct is in China so shipping is a bit slow). But there are lots of alternatives, check the suppliers forum, or click on the sponsoring suppliers tab in the menu bar to find others.

Here is a link to a great intro video. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...2-new-updated-comprehensive-intro-vaping.html Watch it, it will probably answer the majority of questions you will have.

I have the Joye510 which RockyMountainVapor also sells so does cignot.com for 35 dollars for a starter kit. I just started vaping last friday and put down the cigarettes immediately have only had one since and really do not miss it.

I spent a lot of time on forum and got tons of information from my friend about what to buy and the joye510 seems to be a great starter ecig.

I always lead any newbie to an M401 and M201 if they are into penstyles. Get a USB Passthrough with your purchase, some liquids and spare atomisers. Don't forget blank carts and you are set.

I get my stuff exclusively at www.absolutelyecigs.com

Ships from China but reaches as soon as 5 days. Very worthwhile expecially if you plan to stock up as shipping is fixed at $15 no matter how much you buy. Hope this helps.

I tend to get wordy so my apoloigies are offered now. I am also very new to this so I am NOT an expert. I only offer the below to assure you that the group here were and are a wonderful resource for me.

If anyone feels the need to correct me - please do - I freely admit that I am a neophyte too.

I too tried my first ecig at a kiosk then at a smoke shop. My sample puffs were unimpressive and the staff at these seemed as ignorant as I was.

That tweaked my interest. I Googled and got here, thank goodness. I lurked and studied for almost 3 weeks.

The people here will not steer you wrong. If you lay out your wants and expectations they will push you toward the right equipment and suppliers.

I am (was) a heavy smoker. 1-2 packs a day for 25+ years. My first research got me directed me to the 901 and 510. (I was cautioned that I would want a larger unit like a Prodigy or Screwdriver soon though.)

I decided on a 510 starter kit basically by flipping a coin and it was a few bucks cheaper.

I decided to try it for 2 reasons: Not all of these people could be crazy and it was neat. I never intended to try and quit my beloved analogs. I finally recieved my setup and started vaping! I loved it.

Yeah its bigger than a cigarette. Yes its heavier. It can be messy at first. Yes I am always charging batteries. Yes it takes some getting used to. Yes I still have had 1-2 analogs a day. But, I am happier with this thing than my beloved, comforting pack of analogs.

So far, I have spent less than the smoke shop/kiosk model/kits and have 3batteries (manual), 2 atomizers, 5 empty carts, wall pack and usb charger. I started with 9 ml of liquid and it lasted until this afternoon.

Now my noob 2 cents:

Read, ask questions and watch the videos.

Know an e-cig before you get it. It will make you more confortable when you start.

Whatever you choose, buy more fluid than you think you need. If it isn't for you, you can always sell it and not have a total loss. Having an extra battery, atomizer and a few carts handy is nice too. I say this because I am now hooked on vaping and waiting for my shipment of fluid, as I have run out.

Manual battery(one with a button). I am glad users convinced me to go this way. I do have an auto and cant get it to work in a way that I expect.

My main suppliers were Innovapor and litecigUSA and they both did right by me. I love Innovpors Rich ECO-pure liquid. Lightcig answered my email questions within a half-hour, and managed to get my order to me in under 48 hours.

Best wishes!
