I'm bummed out because the colors I wanted in the Spinner, Kanger, and Evo Twist are all sold out. :(

Do you know how often they replenish their inventory?

That I'm not sure about, but it is a "super" site with lots of products. You might drop them an email. That kit is very popular, so components of it have been selling out. I was putting one together for a friend, but the charger was OOS. The next day they had it in again.

That's good to hear, I will check back frequently then!

If your willing to go big, go big. Get the 1000mah spinner, you wont regret it. It is longer, but the batteries last much longer. A good kit is usually in the 60 to 80 dollar range. If you are going to go with eGo batteries (spinner or twist) for your MAIN PV then I recommend you get a kit which comes with 2 batteries. And then.. Maybe down the road, buy a 3rd battery. (unless you can afford one now, which would be fine too) The ECF motto is: "Have backups for your backups!" and that couldn't be more true for someone whom plans to solely use eGo batteries. A mod, you can buy backup batteries and a backup charger to put in the mod. But with eGo batteries, it IS the battery. You charge the ego. There are no replaceable batteries inside. So having 3 is a good way to go. The spinner and twist batteries are VV so you can dial up the volts to boost the heat in the heating coil in your heads (heads refers to the clearomizer, or the cartomizer, etc. whichever you choose to go with)

I definitely recommend you do a little research with google or right here on ECF to learn more about the different types of heads that there are out there. There is cartomizers and cartomizer tanks, clearomizers, vivi nova tank. U have lots of options with heads. There are top coil heads, and bottom coil heads. I like bottom coils best... But I have more top coil :p hehe.

For a relatively new vaper, I recommend a good clearomizer personally... But, cartomizers aren't too fussy and if you have the money to replace them each month, then you can use them and have a GREAT vape! I think they last just as long as clearomizers, although, you can never rebuild a cartomizer like you will be able to with clearomizers. (but rebuilding is further off in ur future!) lol. I know it can all be intimidating but it doesn't have to be.

Buy an eGo spinner or eGo twist kit with two 1000mah or 900mah batteries.. Maybe buy a 3rd 1000mah battery for backup. Then buy yourself a couple Kanger eVod clearomizers, Kanger T3 clearomizers, Vivi Nova mini clearomizers, and then some replacement heads for whichever clearomizer you choose or a couple Slim Cartomizer tanks and 5-10 prepunched cartomizers, and your good to go for a handful of months! :p For juice... You'll want to try a few different flavors so you wont get bored. Most people vape around 3ml of juice a day, so keep that in mind when your ordering your juice for the month. You won't get buy with one 30ml bottle, thats for sure.. and you dont wanna be caught without juice like I am all the time! It is NOT fun having to buy a pack of prefilled cartos for $21.99 from the booth in my mall when I know they are worth 8 bucks online :p And then ontop of that, spend the rest of your discretionary income for the month overnight shipping some REAL juice! haha. Not fun.

And hey, don't be afraid of mods. They are low maintenance and cheap. Provari, Evic, Zmax, Tmax, VVReo Grand, these are all great variable voltage mods, and their voltage goes up to 6v unlike the eGo spinner or eGo twist's 4.5 volts. Also, remember when your dialing in your voltage.. Take the ohms of your heads, and add 2. Thats a good start as to where to set your voltage. I don't want you to burn your wick or supply the coil too little voltage the first try! You could even get a mechanical mod like the Reo Grand, or a Reo Mini, and use low resistance (low ohm) heads on it. That will give you a fantastic vape as well! Options Options! /

OK I don't want to scare you away. It all sounds like a lot at first, but when you get the groove down, its all gravy baby. :) Your going to like vaping a lot. Its 1000x better, healthier, tastier, and more FUN, than smoking EVER was and ever will be. So, I guess its time for my closing statement, as usual: Enjoy your vaping journey. :)

Plumes, you rock!!! Thank you for all of this information, it is very very helpful! I was looking at getting the 1300mAh Spinner, would you suggest the 1000mAh Spinner instead? I am going with two clearomizers as well! :):vapor:

Just a FYI. myvaporstore.com has EXCELLENT customer service. I emailed them and they gave me esitmated times when the items would be back in stock. They even said place the order and then email them the order number with what colors I want and they would fulfill it for me!!

Hey Rooodie and welcome!

It looks like you have been given some great advice on devices to check out, so instead of devices to buy I have a bit of different advice for you.

When I first started I had the same issues you did. I soon discovered all my problems were not necessarily the device I was using (although it does help to get a good one that works for you) but it was the way I was using the device. I got advice from long time users in my area. The best advice I was given was not to try and pull too hard but to let the battery do all the work and take slow long drags. It took some time to get use to this but once I did life got easier.

There were times were I still felt the need for a cigarette, then I found this article here http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-library/337017-inhalation-technique-e-cigarette.html Turns out the way I was using it even though I was getting a better hit I might not have been getting the nicotine that my body was craving. Once I took that article and adjust myself even more POOF cigarettes are completely gone for me now.

So be patient starting out and expect to have a few rough spots starting out. Reach out to everyone on the forums here for support because in the 3 days I have been here I have been amazed at the amount of support that everyone here gives each other....and I love it to death!

Good luck!!

Glad I could be of help. When I first started I ran in to a lot of issues and that was before I found this awesome forum. There was alot of trial and error for me. The first shop I had purchased from would give advise but it was more like "You're just doing it wrong" and I was like ok then how do I fix it? I felt like I had to pry information out of them. The new place that I found has one of the coolest guys ever working there who actually does care that people have a good vaping experience.

Good Luck!

Ok, so I got my Spinner and Joye Ego Twist and I screwed in my Spinner to the charger. The button on the Spinner flashed three tims and then the LED on the charger was red. After a couple of hours the LED switxched to green, but I tried pulling a drag and no vapor. Then I tried pushing the button on the Spinner as I pulled and still no vapor. Yes, I did fill up the cartomizer with juice :). What am I doing wrong?

konichiwa everybody. new here from japan. been vaping for a little over a month after smoking a pack of reds a day for the past 25years. havent really craved one since i got my eGo kit and itaste MVP(love this thing). the only thing that sucks about vaping in japan, is that i cant buy eliquid here(nicotine is considered medicine here) so i have to mailorder and wait it out for 2 weeks till it gets here.

The button does need to be pressed while you draw. The button on the spinner should light up when you press it. Draw slowly for 4 seconds or more, into your mouth (like drinking from a straw) before inhaling. A short fast draw like with a cigarette may get you nothing.

If you still don't get anything, try your carto on the twist battery.

Hi guys, just got to know this forum online. Already got a cheap e-cig, after seeing the mods here, there's so many options out there!

Hi leaper, welcome to the forum. Congratulations on making your choice to switch. Don't get too hung up about equipment. If what you have works for you, then everything is great. If not, you'll find a lot of help here.
