Hello everyone,
I just bought my first eGo set yesterday (and the medium level nicotine juice that goes inside) and start vaping. I have no manual, no instructions, no idea about the quantity of nicotine that is supposed to replace my usually 5-6 cigarettes/day. Of course, Im not familiar with the name of the parts so if anyone has a manual or can direct me toward one, I would appreciate. How often do I need to change these components and what flavors do you guys prefer? I bought the one with no flavor and tastes ugly, to use an euphemism.)
Any advise is very welcome, again newbie here, help)
Cristina
Actually, not much to it. The little "tank" is a clearomizer and here's a break down:

Though some versions of the clearomizer don't come apart like that. Depends on which ones you got. I can't tell from the website (ecigcreate?) exactly which ones they're shipping.
Oh, we do have a Forum Supplier section which is a good place for new folks to find reputable vendors. Not that a vendor isn't good if they're not in the section, but that it's a good place to start since the vendors in the section are known around here.
The "eGo" style batteries ("eGo" being a style, not a brand) are widely supported. The clearos (clearomizers) look to be Vision brand which are available from a lot of vendors and don't cost a great deal. I get mine over this way: Vision Stardust 2.0 Rebuildable eGo Clearomizers from a vendor in Austin (they ship out fast and being local, it's like overnight shipping for First Class prices
If yours disassemble fully then you will, in time, need to replace the coil "head". That's the little widget with the stringy looking wicks that pull the juice up to the coil to be vaporized. Not terribly expensive. Value Vapor, for example, has them here: Vision Stardust 2.0 Replacement Coils (2.4ohm). Can't tell you how long they last. Though it's a while. I'm not replacing them much over here. They keep trucking.
Far as "manuals", the best thing is actually YouTube. There are tons of videos on caring for the various vaporizer widgets. Like this one, which is actually rather funny: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0VeLyv_b6M. Heh. PBusardo is kind of a "name" in the e-cig world.
(The terms for these things is confused. Not just confusing, nobody seems to agree on which clearo is what version. It's... confused and confusing. Yeesh!)
But, anyway, you can go to YouTube and search on something like, "cleaning vision ego clearomizer" and up pops a bunch of videos on the subject.
E-liquid flavors and base liquids (the PG and the VG) and nicotine levels... that's all so subjective, there's no way to say how much at what level will work for you personally. You have to experiment. Since you say you smoked about 5 to 6 cigs a day, though, you're probably going to want to look at the low end of the nicotine levels.
Which levels are usually expressed in mg. Like 12mg or 6mg. Which is actually the milligrams of nicotine per milliliter of juice. More or less. Once in a while, you'll run into it expressed as a percentage. But that's just a matter of moving a decimal point over. A 1.2% liquid is a 12mg liquid. A 1.8% is 18mg. Etc.
Not sure what the vendor you bought from would consider "medium". Most likely, that's somewhere in the 12mg range. Which may be too high for a light smoker. Might not be but I was a 2 pack a day type and use 12 to 18 regularly. And 6 in the evenings (like now, I've dropped to 6mg liquid as it's around 8pm here). Since I discovered that too high a nic level in the evening would keep me awake. Kind of like drinking coffee before bed or such.
For somebody who only smoked around 6 cigs a day, I'd suggest trying the 6mg area and see if that works for you. A flavors? Oh boy. There are just tons out there to try. The local vape shop I go to sometimes around here? They have over 200 different flavors. Um... wow.
Hopefully that's some info to get you started. I agree with Leoleoleo. Go start yourself a new thread and ask. Folks around here love to talk vaping. You'll get a lotta replies...
