Well I finally got my KR808 kit in with my no nic juice from V4L this past Saturday. I got some of the premium, some of the VG only as well as some of the WOW juice as well as some samples they sent for free, thanks V4L.

Just a quick background, I smoked for 17 years and quit 8 weeks ago and that is the reason I didn't want to go back to nicotine but just felt that using a PV would satisfy this itch I have that makes me feel like something is missing. Believe me that I am done with analogs and this was my only desperate chance at feeling like I used to.

Anyhow, like everyone said in the numerous posts I have read, there was no throat it :( It felt just like air with all of the different kinds of juices but I was hoping there would be some since it has been almost 2 months since I smoked regular analogs but no luck. I tried both methods which consisted of dragging in my mouth then inhaling as well as direct inhaling and no real TH :vapor:from what I can tell and from the descriptions I read:confused:.

So I just wanted to thank everyone's help on this forum and wish all of you good luck, I was so excited that I might have found something I could really get into that was similar to my previous habit as well as all the flavors and gadgets but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Take care and vape on everyone!;)

Hi Ed,

Glad you're not planning to pick up smoking again- and sorry that vaping didn't seem to work for you. I don't know if you want to keep trying with no nic flavors from other vendors. you've probably already heard that strong mints and cinnamons sometimes seem to have more TH. But either way, best of luck to you.

Thanks CES, I was really close to trying a new juice or even adding some nicotine to see if that would help but just worried about getting back into nicotine. Also when I used the PG I did kinda get a small rash or some hives on my left upper arm.

I think I am just grasping at straws and I guess that's a sign, which is a shame as I felt like I fit in here. Hopefully I can find something else to get into but I know it won't be as involving as this was.

I'm so sorry this didn't turn out for you ED. Maybe you can ask for members who have this device for some help. Perhaps you may be doing something "wrong" in not getting a throat hit.

I would suggest that you try another device, but you probably are at the point of, "Why should I throw more $$ towards this vaping thing?"
Perhaps you could trade it for something else that might work better for you.

What ever you decide, I wish you the best in your journey to stay smoke free.

Thanks again everyone for the feedback and replies.

I think I would probably get the TH if I got back into nicotine but not sure if I want to open that pandora's box again.

Sux though as I am back to where I was where I just feel like I am missing out on something but again I am done with analogs.

I know if I stuck with it, I would probably get used to it, etc. but then in the back of my mind, I am worried that 20 or 30 years down the road when they finally test this stuff out thoroughly that it eats away your brain or something. I know a little extreme but I always come in contact with Murphy's Law LOL

>Laborer, Is that true even with VG juice with no nicotine?

It just seems 9 out of 10 posts I read where people do no nic juice, they can't get a throat hit.

I was very interested in the Chuck, and the bigger mods but just felt that unless I go the nicotine route that I will always be in the same boat, but thanks for the advice.

I have a lot of different PVs and I sometimes use no nic liquids. I cannot use my chuck without coughing due to the TH and even with no nic juice. So yes, one of the higher volt mods should give you what you want. Peppermint from tasty vapor will knock your socks off even with no nic, burns the nose of everyone I have try it:) You can add a couple drops of vodka to your liquid for TH as well.

    Good luck whatever you decide.

Thanks Rose, so a Mod will actually produce a TH even without the nicotine?

Does anyone know why I wouldn't get a TH with the regular KR808 battery? Also I noticed that TV has the ego, is that a higher volt PV?

I think though that I have some reaction to the PG but not sure if this is just normal for 1st time users and if that will go away?

Thanks for any other advice anyone can provide.

I make alot of my own juices. Sometimes I experiment making different flavors and make 0 nic mixes to not waste nic juice. Vaping these at higher voltages, they give me plenty of TH. If you go with a good 6v PV, some 80% PG / 20% VG juice, 0 nicotine, you'll get some good TH.

Don't waste your time with the ego. It's a low voltage device with a longer lasting battery. Even with low resistence cartomizers to give it a harder hit, they are weak compared to a true high voltage device. I know what your seeking. I was there too. Once I got my first big mod, I was hooked. It's a whole different world.

Good luck with staying nic free. That is a major deal and all I can say is that if you feel that you need it please don't go back to cigs. I have managed to quit a few times but stress always drew me back in. I agree with others who have said to go for a higher voltage mod. I have tried the KR8 and it did nothing for me. If I had started with one of them I don't think I would be smoke free right now.

So please if you feel that you are going to go back to cigs bust out that KR8 and then try a 5 or 6 volt mod.

I think pretty much everyone on this site will agree that if you can go without it, that you would be better off just quitting all together.

Many people love the KR8 and for them it's the ticket. But I have a couple of friends who tried them and it just didn't do it for them. I will no longer suggest that people use them. Just last weekend I gave away two 510 manuals to two different people who were not digging their KR8. Even the standard 510 gives a much stronger hit than the KR8 and that is a far cry from using a LR atty or a high voltage mod.

Peace and good luck, we are all rooting for you.

Thanks for the info, I probably should have just ordered TV's 510 or their ego vs. the KR808. When I use the KR808 it is just like air, I mean seriously I can inhale up to the cut off point which I think is 10 - 13 seconds?

I know vaping is different than what I am used to but I am not really into flavors that much vs. some similarities, ie. TH.

I also think I have a reaction to PG, I am allergic to a lot of things, mainly grass, trees, etc. and unfortunately TV doesn't make 100% VG. Oh well, it doesn't hurt to try I guess.

Laborer, what mod should I then get, should I bite the bullet and order a Chuck and just take the time for a good mod like that, or a silver bullet?

Great, I already told my wife this wasn't for me and that it wasn't fulfilling, I guess I can tell her I wasn't doing it right or something but she too worries that this is bad for me and that since I quit about 2 months ago that why in the world would I do anything like this, Ugh always feels like I am in a no win situation.

I really appreciate everyone's help on this.

I haven't had the pleasure of trying out a chuck yet. I have two silver bullets. Love them both. The thermos are good but I like the SB's better. GGTS is a nice unit I just got in. Liking it alot. Boxmods are also another option if your looking to save cash. A 5v boxmod with a cartomizer can choke you sometimes with the right juice. Theres a ton of great mods out there. My advice is stay at 5V or higher. I vape 7.4v and 6v myself. :D
