Hey folks,

I have been vaping for 2 years now (Man how the years have vaped away) and I wanted to share the reason for why I have pretty much always shopped Canadian with everyone here.

When I first discovered vaping, I had no clue there were vendors in Canada and wasted $100's on a product called "Green Smoke". It was supposed to be "the best" according to so many reviewers out there but after receiving the product... Yeah, it wasn't even passable as an e-cig.

This was in the "before eGo" (b.e.) era, so after I decided vaping wasn't all a scam I figured I would go with the best device at the time. That device was the 510 and I bought it from Jack at Happy Vaper, my first Canadian purchase.

The service was great, the price was even better than the cruddy Green Smoke and the 510 more than halved my 1 & 1/2 pack a day habit. I was impressed! but I still struggled to find the device that would get me off the stinkies... That is until the eGo came out. I also bought that device through Jack and haven't looked back on smoking since.

My first Canadian juice order was through a now defunct website; Vapables. Their service was awesome, their juices were pretty much all Dekang and I couldn't have been happier with the service I was receiving. The juice was good, the device was even better and I decided at that time that my money was best spent on the great suppliers here in our own great nation.

Since that time I have bought many devices, tried a few mods and a huge variety of juices, all from Canadian vendors and I couldn't be happier.

In to-days world, it is us the consumers, that are the ones with the real power. We vote every single time we place an order, spend a dollar and choose where to spend it and I personally vote CANADIAN. There are so many great, passionate and caring vendors in this country that I feel guilty every time I even consider going across the boarder for anything.

Because I buy Canadian I;

  • Have never had a package inspected, refused or opened by anyone other than myself
  • Always get my order in less than 4 days
  • Receive fast and courteous service
  • Can pride myself in knowing I am putting my money back into this economy
  • Know exactly what I am buying
  • Can send back a defective product without paying for expensive international shipping
  • Can track my orders every step of the way
IMO, there is really no need to go anywhere else in the world, as we now have a sizable variety of Mods, Juices, Quality Atties, Cartos and so much more.

Without supporting our Canadian vendors with our dollar votes, there will never truly be progress toward the future of vaping in this country.

Your opinion may vary - but hey - such is the spice of life. I personally have never felt the need to buy internationally and won't be any time soon.

Do you vape Canadian? Let us all know!

Well said Noiz! Everybody should consider these points before ordering outside the country! Keep it Canadian eh!

Here's my post on another thread from earlier today:

I'm all about keeping my vaping money in Canada for two main reasons. 1: We have some absolutely excellent vendors right here in our own back yard that produce an excellent juice, and 2: I fully support our Canadian vendors and the best way to support them is to continue to buy from them.

I'm not knocking any supplier outside of Canada one bit, but I just truly believe that the more we support our home grown vendors, the better it will be for the industry in Canada.

Just my two cents...

Thanks Vise and it was partly your post that encouraged this thread. I have been buying Canadian all along and agree with your points whole-heartedly.

It used to be a challenge to "Keep it Canuck" because there were only a couple mods available but these days you can get a Caliber (Canadian made!), Darwin, Provari, Saber Touch, Silver Bullet, Omega, etc etc, so there really isn't a need anymore.

I agree, now after six months the only thing I purchase outside of canada is ave liquid :)

That is some tasty stuff so I can`t say I blame you, lol. The Boba`s I tried was out of this world and so was DigitalCiggz The Vanillaz when I tried that. Maybe one day a Canadian Vendor will offer the juices on our soil? We can dream can`t we?

But but but... it's so hard to support Canadian companies when Backwoods Brew is so good :(

Lol, I am sort of scared to try BWB for that reason (and the PG) but I think Canadian Suppliers see the love for USA Juices and might consider bringing them up here to the frozen north. Some already have like Gentleman's Reserve (at least I think they have TV juices) and I'd bet more will be there to follow with everyone's favs sooner than later.

Tons of people have a hard time finding an ADV and it seems AVE and BWB have done something right. :p

I'm with concat. I go to backwoods brew because it suits my tastes perfectly. I haven't tried the newer vendors yet, so I may come across some canadian stuff that rocks my world. It was mostly the price that made me look south of the border to begin with. The canadian vendors I bought juice from earlier this year kind of set the tone for my disappointment but I'm sure things have changed quite a bit now. The last time I bought a bottle of canadian juice was some ry4 (his take on it anyway) and I think the "ry" stood for really yucky.

His Malty is made with VG, or atleast mostly VG. It's quite a popular flavour too, but I haven't tried it. I don't like VG juices much. Kind of get a so-thick-it-makes-me-gag reaction from it...

 The only RY4 I've ever enjoyed was the original Dekang. Often imitated but never duplicated.

I hear you. I would be sticking with PG if I didn't get such a reaction from it. Not to mention I like cartos and VG doesn't play well with them without fiddling...

The plain malty is really, really thick so you might want to stay away from that one concat. But the malty toffee...now that's the cat's ...!!! Oh and the casablanca too - smooth and rich tobacco flavor with chocolate...yum.

When I first started vaping I found I couldn't take mostly pg stuff until I tried BWB. I don't know if its a quality thing or what, but with the casa which is 70/30 pg its smooth on my throat and gives off tons of vapor still. Very surprising when I first tried it out and now I'm not afraid to try other higher pg juices....so long as its quality stuff.

I'm all for supporting our fellow Canucks! Actually, i'm even considering opening up my own juice shop sometime soon.

My idea behind it though would be to post/sell e-juices made by many Canadian vendors, and of course my own. Sort of like a communal e-juice website. This way our clients have a 1 stop shop to buy any/all juices Canadian made.

Obviously there is much discussion to be made with my fellow vendors before this can happen. I am hoping to trade a few dozen bottles with them and have them post mine up for sale at discount prices on their website, and i do the same for theirs ... say cost + 10%. Seems reasonable right? At least to get the ball rolling.

How would you all feel about something like this? I'm trying to get a feel of how popular this idea might be before i go ahead and start planning it out.

Lemme know eh?

Most of the things I can get in Canada and I do. I will gladly support local/Canadian IF possible.

But I'm sorry I will continue to shop across the boarder for certain things that I just cannot get here in Canada. Some vape things but mostly food items :D

Why can't we get aerosol cheese in this country? Just one more reason to head South of the border!
