hey ... ya .. you can practice on my Infinity! heh heh heh~

But really, Mist, I have been wondering at what point in the diminishing diameter of ever smaller tubes will the wood covering the tube begin to split or crack or whatever it does under stress.
I am speaking from a complete noob standpoint since I have no clue how you manage to get the wood to stay in that curled state.

Really would hold out for a burly infinity pro if I could just wrap myself around understanding the answer to that question.

I steam bend the wood veneer Bej. I put the veneer in a steam chamber for a while which softens the cells of the wood and makes them more plyable. Then I wrap them around a form (usually a piece of copper pipe) and hold them in place with rubber bands. They then dry over night and the next morning I have a little tube of wood.
