Thinking I may many to take the jump. I'd like TW most current model in either chrome or stainless & would really love it if I could get the led readout in blue instead of that Pontiac dashboard orange lol. Any idea or help for a great supplier with awesome service & prices? I'd like to buy an entire kit.

Thanks

Numerous vendors now have the chrome lavatube. As far as I know Apollo is the only vendor that has the SS. I got my SS mini last week and really like it so far. It's really solid and looks great. The SS ones cost a lot mOre now though bc they realized how much of a PITA they are/ expensive they are to manufacture. I got my SS mini kit for only $60 during the preorder with a coupon and now a SS kits cost $105. A bunch of vendors have the Chrome ones now, but I don't think many vendors,if any at all, are going to try to sell the SS tubes since they cost so much more to manufacture.

No lavatubes have a blue LED. The version 1.5s have an "improved" screen, but right now the version 1.5s are only in the older tube style. So if you want a chrome or SS with the much better end caps, it will have version 1 internals

I think the major thing you should be checking with the different vendors that sell the chrome lavatube is what their warranty for it is. A bunch of different vendors sell the chrome kit for about $80, but all their warranties are not the same.
If I were you I would buy it from Apollo. I would get the SS bc it's def nicer than the chrome, but if you don't want to spend $105 for the SS kit, they have the Chrome kit for $84. They have free shipping too and heir kit also comes with 2 batteries now like ivape.net's kit.
While Apollos kit is $4 more than the Chrome kit from ivape.net, I would still def get it from Apollo. Ivape.net only has a 14 day warranty on their lavatube. So if it starts acting funny 3 weeks after you get it your screwed. Apollo on the other hand has a 30 day money back guarantee and a 1 year warranty.
Personally I'd much rather spend the extra $4 and get one of the best warranties for the lavatube out of all the vendors that sell it, than save $4 and basically have no warranty at all. That's up to you though

When I originally ordered from iVape I thought it was the SS (he changed the description in the forums after I ordered), but I must say I am not disappointed at all with the chrome version. It is heavy, well made, and works great. From the pictures I cannot see any difference at all between the chrome and the SS, other than the fact that my chrome tube has no branding. Apollo definitely has a better warranty though -- I just couldn't wait any longer.

I got a chrome mini vtube from apollo. As soon as i got it i was only able to use it once before the firing button got stuck and the bottom battery cap couldn't be screwed in all the way because it wouldn't activate the battery. You had to back off half a turn before the device would work... So i returned it!

My question is how do you fix the really airy draw it has???

I just got my chrome Vector from Vapor Beast. It's the newer verision with the higher amp limit and the built in ohm meter and battery level graph. Excellent unit so far, good weight, metal end caps, very solid feel. The kit was 75 and free shipping. Service is great so far, though I haven't had any problems. He shipped it out same day, I ordered it on Friday and got it Monday morning.

Are you sure this has the higher amp limit? That was the only thing that kept me from adding it to my cart. The black and silver one state in the description that they have the higher amp limit with no zombie mode...

I know it does at least 3 amps, not sure past that. I hooked it up to a 2 ohm load (2 4 ohm resistors in parallel) and set it to 6 volts and my Wavetek True RMS meter read 5.98 VDC with a fresh Panasonic battery. I'd have to rig a lower load and hook it up to my scope to see if it did more than that.

I just emailed them about it. Great and QUICK customer support btw. Tim said that the mini chrome doesn't have the zombie mode and that the full size chrome is hit or miss. But, they all are the 3amp limit. I'm definitely getting the full size and taking my chances on the zombie mode lol. I leave my v1 tube on in my pocket all the time and haven't had any problems what-so-ever with it firing accidentally.

Yeah, I had emailed Tim with a pre sale question, and he got back to me very fast. Seems like a great guy and really cares. I ordered mine last Friday, and he shipped it out same day and I was vaping it Monday morning.

Yep I'm selling my v1 and getting this with some Boges tomorrow or tonight still. I bet with the pwm and the Panasonic 18650 will last a longer. Right now it'll get me through the day and only be down to 3.9v, but I'm also using 2.0 sc in my tank @ 4.0-4.5

Fixed autocorrection lol, don't know how to edit posts.

Does this have the spring loaded positive pin? If it does, this sounds like what I want.

Also, I see several mentions of "zombie mode", and I have no idea what that is. Can someone explain?

zombie mode is when the device is powered off and you hit the fire button and it still fires but it's in a low power state instead of off like it should be.

I guess getting this will have to wait... Some jackass stole my cc info and spent $700 on kmart.com. Effectively leaving me with $70 to last me two weeks. FUN!
