Thanks! I has no idea Rob's 2.0 was available yet. After some consideration I think I'll steer clear of this... It seems parts of the unit is brass, which, in an of itself doesn't bother me if it is plated, but as Rob modifies these units- i.e. drilling squonk hole and turning OD down on lathe, he's removed plating; leaving exposed brass. I'm not a fan of brass coming in contact with juice for long periods of time; it can't be very good for us

I've read that the A7 can be bottom fed.

A-7's are my current "go to" for bottom fed devices. They do of course require some modding... Like most, I drilled air holes in the covers, stabilized the center pins, and sealed the bases with 10mmX12mm Buna-N O-rings. They are the best "low budget" rba's I've found so far for bottom feeders, but they don't compare to Igo's vapor output, taste, TH, etc...

This was a great idea, but this too won't work for me. Let me explain...They advertise Igo's as being "all stainless steel", but apparently they aren't. The ease of which he drills through the center pin tells me that at the very least, the center pin is plated brass. Again... I have no problem with plated brass, but when a hole is drilled in the center pin, juice will be exposed to brass as it passes through.
