Welcome to ECF Soeren! You've been given lots of good advise so far. Since you mentioned not even bringing your steamer to the bar when you go drinking I would add that you may find you like different juices in different situations. Some people here prefer 1 flavor in the morning with coffee and then switch to an all day vape flavor and maybe switch again to something else if going to a bar.

Just be patient and try different pv's and juices. I would also suggest that while experiment to take it one step at a time. You have a good flexible system so would start out with a stronger 24mg or 36mg juice and see how that changes your experience. Then maybe get a couple of different types of atty's and cartos to see which of those you like best. If it's still lacking then maybe look into a 5v or vv box mod.

Even after you get the best steam you can it still won't be the same as smoking but if you stick with it you will get used to the change and the cravings will eventually go away.

This reminds me of my golf game - one friggin' big mental mess!

When I dropped the analogs, I visited a brick-and-mortar, and the manager started me on 18mg, which he said would suffice my pack-a-day habit. I panicked a little bit, and went up to 24mg just to "be sure".

The next part of my journey was the mental games. The cravings were there, and I had to constantly talk to myself. Was my PV giving me the experience I craved?

1. Putting a stick-looking thing into my mouth? CHECK.
2. Drawing in and seeing "smoke"? CHECK.
3. Getting a throat hit, or tingle from the inhale? CHECK.
4. Getting nicotine? CHECK.

So, physically and somewhat psychologically, everything's there in my PV. I couldn't determine any other effect that my PV wasn't giving me over a cigarette, except for the smell. Yeah, my PV doesn't give me a buzz, but neither did ciggies. The buzz was only there if you were starting, or had stopped smoking for awhile.

So, I played the mental game for about a week, and then the cravings stopped. Now, I crave the flavors and instant availability of vaping... to the point where my wife feels I'm hitting it too much! :)

But so far, so good, for both the wife and I (she's vaping too).

Exhale partly through your nose. The nic will absorb better going through your mouth and nose. There's no tar in ecigs to carry nic to your lungs and stick. Try vaping indoors with no fans running. Wind will dimish your vaping experience. Higher PG definitely gives me a better 'smoking' feeling in my throat. Hang in there and you'll find a happy place :) Good luck.

I'm still a noobie, having my last cig as of February 1. I did both for about 2 or 3 months prior to that, and then one day I walked out of the store with 3 packs of smokes and a receipt in my hand for $27.00, it it just hit me really hard. I'm not sure what made that moment any different than all the times before, but it just hit me really hard. That was half of a cable bill or a nice dinner with an appetizer at Carrabbas!

In order to get serious and really kick the smoking though, I had to find the right mix of everything from flavor to TH to enough vapor. I tried at least 50 flavors in varying strengths, but the waffle at 24 mg, 80%pg was what finally did the trick. Initially wasn't comfortable with the thought of that high of nic, but that was the only mg that actually kills my cravings. I do occasionally crave a real one, but the second I inhale a hit from my vaporizer, I'm cured! Amazing! I'm still in awe of this device and how painless it has made it to quit - at least compared to all the other things I tried!

I make my own juice now to save money so I always keep a bottle of 18 mg on hand in addition to the 24 mg, and have started adding a few drops to each refill just to see if I can wean myself down a little, but most of the time I just have to have it full strength. I am still using the eJoy I started with and it's been great. Basically, I think it just takes time and experimenting, and of course coming to this site for the expert advice! Thank you veterans for all of your genuine & caring advice. : )

Steamers, I love it. Much better than Vapers.

I had the same problem when I started out and found that the more power the better. And better yet is variable voltage. The one I bought last all day on a charge. Had it a year and still works like a champ. You can buy a good one for $100-$150.
Good luck.

SC from SC, can you tell me what brand/type you're using? I've been having power-failure as well on both the units I bought and I've only had them for a month and a half...

A Buzz from Notcigs. New model Buzz Pro due out next week. I would never buy another PV without variable voltage and this one has been a workhorse for me. Can't say enough good things about it.
