I would get a couple tobacco bases, I like to use Tobacco absolute for a lot of my mixes. Though I have some burley from Flavour Art as well which I am combining with the Tobacco absolute in my juice now. Chocolate and nutty flavors compliment nicely, I used Lorann's chocolate hazelnut (like 1%) in a menthol tobacco mix I had a while ago and it was amazing.

You can get everything for DIY at One Stop DIY Shop. You can also order flavors directly from the companies that make them (perfumers apprentice, flavour art, capellas). I personally prefer menthol in liquid drops (pre-mixed) because the strength is easier to gauge and a tiny 6ml bottle will last you at least a month, I got about 2 out of mine before ordering more. If you do go with crystals, I would mix them into a large batch of PGA so you don't end up adding too much menthol (and those crystals are very strong).

The syringe size really depends on the juice, if you are using PG, then they will pretty much work at any size until they get to maybe 24 gauge, if you are using VG you need one less than gauge 16, though 16 probably will work.

I'm a huge fan of Seedman Commercial Top Note flavoring concentrate (their concentrate, the 1/2 ounce size, not the diluted version that's cut 3:1 with water) for tobacco flavor base, use it at about 12%, then add a few drops of Tobacco Absolute per 10 ml, and some hazelnut or vanilla flavoring to get a nice blend.

Seedman Commercial is available directly from Seedman, and also from BlueMist (which also sells a tobacco absolute, and menthol crystals, and other flavorings).

I use pipettes, less often syringes, for mixing, and plastic graduated cylinders from US Plastics; bought a 100-pack of their 15 ml, makes the rougher (bulk) liquid measurements easier, particularly compared to sucking VG into a syringe. I'm still using the original 4 I took out -- the things are durable, washable.

Thanks for the above links.
I just ordered from Seedman's and looked for a coupon.
There is one if it is your first order.
"FirstOrder" takes 10% off.
Also not sure why all my TA smells like perfume. Maybe b/c I got it at Perfumer's Appr.
I really can't imagine all these people like vaping perfume so it probably me ( or the batch I received.)
But then again my FA Virginia smells like hay and I can't imagine people vaping that either.
