I am ordering some stuff and I want to try dripping. Can someone point me in the right direction? I am going to buy an itaste 134 what would I need to get to drip with this? Thanks for any help

I love the looks of the 134 myself, but; besides having a narrow power range, and not offering the vv option (it's vw only) it doesn't measure and show you your coil resistance.

So unless you got something else, I wouldn't buy the 134 as a first mod; is it?

I recently got a 30mm magma, and a 30mm veritas; love em both so far; 1 downside, the veritas came with screws that rusted when I soaked it.

For kanthal get some 30 gauge and some 28 gauge.

For coil diameter, use 2mm metric or 1/16 inch british. (5/64 inch if you have that)

I do have a vv EVOD i believe it's called and yes the 134 would be my first mod . Is having vv important for dripping? one of the main reasons I want to try dripping is I have tons of different flavors and don't want to in vest in a ton of tanks. I was under the impression with dripping I can use the same atomizer for different flavors, is that right or have I been misunderstanding what I have been reading? probably the latter lol

If you are new rebuildables I highly recommend you spend some time with Baditude (one of our resident battery experts) and visit his blogs. Make sure you purchase an ohm reader and a voltmeter or DMM so you can measure your builds, check for shorts and measure the remaining charge on your batteries (unless you have a variable v/w mod that does all of these).

Baditudes Blogs. The blogs regarding batteries, ohm's law and rebuildables are listed below:

BATTERIES

9. Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?
* Another essential read to understand which batteries are safe to use in mechanical and regulated mods. Includes a frequently updated list of recommended safe-chemistry, high-drain batteries with their specifications.

17. Purple Efest Batteries Not As Advertised
* A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

OHM'S LAW

14. Ohm's Law for Dummies (Vapers)
* My attempt at explaining Ohm's Law in layman terms and how it relates to vaping.

16. Explain it to the Dumb Noob: Ohm's Law Calculations
* As simple as it is to use, some people have a tough time grasping the concept. Warning: Includes graphic photos of mod explosions.

REBUILDABLES

7. Information Resources for Your First RBA
* An essential read and reference guide for someone new to rebuilding coils. Includes a multitude of useful links on battery safety, mod safety, coil meters, coil building, and the differences in the three types of RBA's.

BATTERIES - WHERE TO BUY

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* RTD Vapor
* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics

you need:
a high wattage box or a mech mod (don't get a 134). I only use mech mods, so can't recommend a box personally.
kanthal wire - 26g or 28g is good to start out, but I build most of my RDAs using 24g.
cotton wick
a 510 ohm meter
something to wrap around (i usually use a multimeter probe or a very small screwdriver - both about 5/64)
tweezers (ceramic tipped tweezers are great because you can adjust the coils while firing the device)
high amp drain batteries
low nicotine, heavy vg e-juice

Want to try dripping ? I recommend you move directly to the advance level drippers move on too.

Try a Reo, bottom feed dripping. Most drippers who tried it never went back to hand dripping. Easy, indestructable, outstanding after sale service....etc. Don't take my word for it. Check out their forum. You will be happy you did.

I think what you are looking for is a non-rebuildable dripper - not a RDA.

Here is a great blog post on dripping by ECF member The Ocelot: Drip, Drip, Drip - The Sound of Dripping.

510 drip atomizers or Nano clearomizers can be used for sampling multiple flavors without the need for separate tanks.

an igo L and some 28 or 30 gauge Kanthal should work. it won't be oh my god, awesome but it will get the job done. try building a single coil around 1.6 ohms should give you a taste. I wouldn't spend any real big cash on a dripper with this device as it won't really perform well enough to justify the expenditure...This device will give you some practice building coils while doing it safely.

1: Doesn't matter if you have vv or vw, but the typical mod has both; so I'd be hesitant to pay big bucks to vv alone or vw alone when so many cheap mods have both.

2: For your first mod, I recommend one with a screen that shows you ohms. This is especially important for when you are relatively new to vaping.

3: With a dripper there is no tank; it's like you have the tank separate and you just add some more when you feel like, and if you want to add a different flavor you just add it.
