I wanted to like the Ody in Big mode, I really, really did...

and I do. Like it in big mod that is...BUUT...tonight, I had to refill, and needed to build a new coil, so on a lark, I converted it back to the short configuration.

Dare I say it??? I like it...GULP.....more. In the short mode.
Now, I should add that I have a Stealth, so my mod is small. The Ody in full mode almost doubles the length. Yes, it is fantastic that in the full mode, I don't have to fill it for two full days, compared to one in the short mode.

Yes, it looks very cool with the window, and will look even better with a SS one...but, it's just so much bigger in the full mode. On the Stealth, the short mode Ody virtually disappears in your hand. Not so with the long mode. In the short mode, I never once had someone even notice I was vaping, yet with the Ody in the full mode, I've had numerous people ask me what it was, what I was doing, etc.


It's not that I'm not proud of my GG; quite the contrary. I just somehow find the short mode Ody and Stealth combo more...I don't know..."pleasing"??? I'm sure that I will switch back and forth between the modes..that's the beauty of the Odysseus system; you CAN switch back and forth, forth and back. It's fantastic to have choices, and right now...for tongiht anyway, I think I'll choose to leave it in short mode. We'll see how I feel about it tomorrow.

Has anyone else reached the same conclusion?

I like the medium mode (tank base + clear window + top cap), but the mouthpiece is too short, would be great to have a special mouthpiece to use it in medium mode, or maybe a shorter tank base + clear window + top cap to get the same size of mini mode but with window.

I find myself switching modes myself. I think short mode performs better. Maybe its just me but I think I get better flavor out of short mode. Not sure why, but again, maybe its just in my head.

I have settled on the following combo.

Odysseus in short mode on a Stealth with an GGTS telescope so I can fit a 18500 battery.

For me it is the best compromise on size , juice capacity and battery capacity.

I have to use mine in short mode since my clear window broke. If I had the window I'd go for the half mode.
The longer the mouthpiece is the cooler the vapor, I prefer it warmer.

Nothing else than a full mode on my nickel/brass/gold plated GGTS...no siree.

Drips its 4-5 drops upon refilling/rewicking and that is it...perfectly happy with it.

Added a smok round rubber mouthpiece on it to prevent teeth breakage

I tried big mode and found it too big for my liking, mainly because of 2 reasons, the first being that I like to make a new coil every day (cost is next to nothing and nothing performs like a coil that's only an hour or 2 old imho) and the second being I come home from work for lunch each day and the 3ml lasts until then so I just refill again at lunch and I'm good for the rest of the work day I also am not a fan of clear windows, I know when I need to refill, the flavor drops before getting the burnt taste and I don't like the idea of juices affecting the window and I prefer the indestructible nature of SS sections

I run with two, a brass stealth with short mode Ody on it for my secondary flavor. Big mode on a GGTS (18500, telescope and air control only). Works quite well, I made a new dual coil for my big mode last night (old one lasted close to 3 weeks, with 3 dry burns) and might have made it a little low... didn't bother to measure it, but thought it was a little short (also used double wick to help with the leaking issue, so far so good but juice needs to be pretty open)... nice and warm hits, warmer than the short mode I have now.

It looks like one oring on my window is damaged, it was stuck (yes, always lube them up) when I went to clean everything, when I finally got it to unscrew it looked like pieces have ripped off (small chucks of rubber in the threads).
