I figured out how to use organic herbs and vodka! Just started on an arctic tank, and needed to cut my juice cost dramatically. For the nic I use 15 percent of 24 mill nic store bought juice. In other words 4 and a half drops for 30 mills of USP VG. Giving me 3 mills of nic. The flavor of the 24 mill juice barely comes through, but compliments the organic spearmint that I made with vodka by soaking the spearmint in vodka for 4 hours. Then straining it twice, and then putting it in a jar and placing the jar in a pot with lightly boiling water. After an hour or so the vodka vaporizer away and the small bit of residue flavored 30 mills of my 3 mill nic juice. The cost for 30 mills of sub ohming at 40 watts is now, Less than 3 bucks!!! Halalewya!!! Anyone else done this? Just had to share this interesting vape story. LIVE TO VAPE - VAPE TO LIVE

Just trace amounts if any. The only juice I buy online or brick and mortar, are the ones tested for the bad stuff. It may not be bad at all? But I'm too old to take the chance lmao. I know what's in my VG is natural and no Diketones. What most don't realize is that a lot of juice flavors are still extracted with alcahol. It's easy to evaporate it off, but takes a bit of time and love. The love part is easy for me, cause I LOVE TO VAPE.

Have you thought about visiting ECF - E-liquid DIY Forums?
Simpler/Safer solutions.
I often do 100ml batches of e-liquids for under $3

Also, FYI, when you're extracting from a plant you're extracting more than just the flavor. Many organic flavorings or e-juices made with organic flavors I've seen have a warning for possible diketones. Not saying that's what's on your spearmint, but you're extracting oils/some plant matter in there. I'm not sure how efficient the straining is, so no way to know what's in it without a test.

I make my own juice like many people here and use flavors from TFA. it cost me $0.60 (60 cents) to make 30ml of 50/50 PG/VG 6ml nicotine juice with 10% flavoring. I vape at 10 watts and use 30-40 ml per week

spearmint oil is an inhalation hazard and should not be use in e-juice and you are right alcohol extraction does remove oil as well as flavor from the leaves

What works great for straining is a tea bag wrapper. Much better than a coffee filter. I strain the vodka 4 times before I evaporate it away leaving the spearmint flavor. I know a lot of brands are getting their organic flavor this way. I'm using store bought tobacco flavor that's not bad and cheap, to get the 3 mills of nic I need to sub ohm cheaply. I can't put this flavor down! It is crazy good.

Wow that is pretty neat never knew that was a thing. I do DYI and it costs me about 20 bucks a month or right in that neighborhood. Right at about 5 cents per milliliter which includes shipping costs for the supplies. I suggest you check out the DYI section here and see all the options available to you. I am impressed by what you have done so far its pretty cool :)
