The only upgrades are cosmetic. That I know, it uses the same chip. You also get rhinestones with the Vamo V3

Vamo V3 has other upgrades besides cosmetic (for example, it's set correctly for RMS with no option for Mean, i.e., NO1 or NO2 is gone), is not nearly as "bad" looking in "person" as the pictures don't do it justice, and you can get it either with Rhinestones or without. My wife loves the rhinestones on hers, as do all her girl friends. I'm looking at it right now and it's really a good looking device, the pictures really don't do it justice, and it does grow on you. The drip well skirt is removable making cleaning easier. The drip well is wider and now works well with the T3s. The grooves now don't show the fingerprints, a big problem on the V2, and it's not nearly as slippery. Anyway, my two cents. See the review:

I was in the same position on Wed. Looking to try something new. For the past year and a half since I quit smoking, the PigCig with their rebuildable pigomizers have been seeing me through. After reading and watching various reviews, I decided on the Vamo V2 and Protanks. I ordered from MyVaporStore on Thursday and everything just arrived today. I'm sitting here vaping on the new Vamo with some Want2Vape RY4 and very satisfied. 5.5watts, 2.7ohm, and get a nice clean taste and good vapor :) The Vamo is large though. At least larger than my PigCig. I will most likely use the PigCig while running errands around town and leave the Vamo for home use.

As a side note, the girlfriend bought some SodaStream Cream Soda flavor (which is disgusting) but quite similar to the Want2Vape RY4 flavor. Just not as....nutty.

If you are exploring other options outside of the 3 you mentioned i can chip in with the experience with the ones i have.

Depending on what features you are looking for i have to give a thumbs up for the SVD and the MVP both from innokin.

The SVD is an amazing tube mod imho, Ohm checker, battery checker, VV/VW, it's telescopic so you can decide which batteries you want to use. I haven't experienced menu issues whatsoever. And it looks and feels solid and well machined.
The only downside i can think of, the device gets pretty long with 18650 batteries, other than that it's been a great investment.

The MVP on the other hand is a much simpler device, no ohm check, only VV, box format and puff counter. Comes with a 2600mah which lasts a while, i've been using it for 2 days and it's still showing green. Same as with the SVD it solid feels and looks great.

No fire button problems or issues to speak of on both of them.

just my 2 cents :)

Exactly what I would recommend.

rounding third and heading home...
I'm two weeks into vaping and really love it...I've been doing lots of research, reading lots of reviews, etc and I'm ready to purchase my first APV.

The choices I have narrowed down to are the SmokTech S.I.D., The Vamo V2 or V3, and the Sigelei Zmax V3 telescopic. My price range is between $40-$50 range, up to $60 if the deal is good.

Now, I have read a lot of individual reviews on each, PBusardo's Vamo review (couldn't find one of his for SID or Zmax), a number of people talking about the SID and Zmax, but I was hoping to get some feedback with some sort of comparison, if possible, if not any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Some thing I was wondering about:

1. Durability and Feel (anyone drop one, bang it against something and it broke? Does one feel cheaper than the other?)

2. Menu issues (anyone experience any issues with menu not working?)

3. Fire button/menu button issues (anyone experience shortages with fire buttons or menu buttons)

4. Or just any other bug/issues

Also, if anyone knows of any other APV's in that price range, I'm very open to suggestions.

Thanks again for reading and happy vaping

look at the sigelei telescope flattop v3- had mine for two months and it is great! it handles every battery and combination you can throw at it, it feels solid and is dependable as anything I've owned. every clearomizer and cartomizer I have(more than I care to mention) work like a champ on the sigelei. it is cheap enough if something did go wrong in a year or so you could by another (or the latest, greatest new thing) and still spend less than an expensive mod. I got the whole kit with batteries and charger for 69.95.

My first Vamo quit working after dropping it and my 2nd one doesn't regulate voltage or Wattage correctly. The hit doesn't change no matter what voltage I set it at 3.5 is the same as 5 or 6 V. I would go with the SID but I don't have one yet.

Pbusardo just gave it an excellent review... aside from the crunchy threads.

I'll just be quiet about the vamo. My first one bit the dust on the computer chip after 3 months. Second one separated at the cheap pressed fit come apart also. MVP or SID gets my vote. :2c:

Interesting. In another post you say:

"And yes I use to own Two vamos so I do know a bit about what I'm talking about. First one bit the dust in 3 months. Second one is never used."

You also own 3 Provaris, is that right?

I'm making this leap as well
After countless amount of reviews, threads, videos, I think I'm just going to do it once and do it right with a Provari Mini.

I didn't ever consider one of these bigger APV mods at all until I saw a photo of the eVic posted online. I'll be honest, that display wow'd me, but the more and more I read, the deeper and deeper I got.

Loved the eVic display (mainly bc I liked the battery %), then read on build quality...realized that it's pretty stinking big..so, okay, put on a ego-T battery tube on it to shorten it up. Then realized maybe I didn't need the plethora of gizmos it comes with. Now I've settled with a provari mini
do it once and get it over with

Correct along with 2 Teslas 3 legacy' 1 silver bullet and a few more. The vamo came apart when I was trying out a few things.

I love my sigelei zmax, it isn't the telescoping but that's fine because I only use 18650's. It is probably the best pv on the market with the multiple connections, oled screen, ease of menu, and stainless. Having said that it would be hard to pass on the fasttech deal for the SVD, or the vamo but of those two I would probably go with the SVD.

Here's the SID... I held one at a shop and I didn't like it... As Phil says in the vid the threads are terrible, so much so I could barely get the bottom cap on or off the one I held...

pbusardo did one on the SID. I just ordered one. I have the Vamo also, love it but got the SID because can use 510 or ego's without an adapter.(I like my Kanger T3's) yes he did discuss the issue with the threading, but I think I can deal with that. Guess I will see. I am always looking for something new. I just paid 53.95 for mine from EC Blend and I needed my favorite juice from them anyway (Dragons Blood WOW). But I cant remember the site that said they would have it Monday for 39.99 but I didn't want to wait until Monday to order so I just paid the extra on June 20th. I should have mine by Tues or Wed before my vacation. Hope its as good or better than my vamo.
