I have a ego mega and a rougkstak. the ego is a 3.7 fat battery and the roughstak at 3.7, same volts right. why dose the flavor and throat hit differ. the ego is somewhat smoother and less vapor, on the smokestak the vapor is more but the throat hit is very rough with the same juice and ce2 cart at 2.6 ohms. i tried the smoke at 6.0 volts and think i fried the cart.
been trying to find my favorite vap to kick analogs but so far, nothing is working for me. most liquids taste lif burning ole sweaty socks.
so may vapers report they vape at 3.7 some at 4.0 some at 6 volt. being somewhat new to vaping is hard for me to understand the reason for that. as always thank for the info to help educate me into the varor world.:glare::glare:

Although the battery used in both are 3.7 batteries the Ego isn't a true 3.7 vape. It's regulated to around 3.3 or 3.4ish. Your Roughstack battery isn't regulated....which means the vape will decrease as the battery runs down as opposed to the Egos being regulated which will remain consistent until it's time to charge. Your Roustack battery will come off the charger at or just below 4.2v and will drop from there but likely will never drop down to the 3.4ish volts of the Ego unless you run it long enough without charging.

Your vape being harsh could be a number of things. It could be it's not wicking which isn't uncommon with a unmodded CE2, they generally work better with some tweaking. If you want to try a dependable carto that's just good out of the box and doesn't take any fiddling try Boge 2.0 ohm version, that should work well on both your Ego and Roughstack at 3.7, don't try any higher configurations with 2.0 ohm you'll need a higher ohm carto for that.

I never got into mods, settled on Rivas and even little dingy 510s, attys, plain carts. I think the higher voltage actually burns easier. Yeah, I've had moments of vaping frustration.

I also gave up finding the exact replacement for analogs long ago. Vaping is a substitute, not a replacement. Vapor is not  smoke (missing 4,000 chemicals thereof) and no juice contains 599 additives that BT adds into cigarettes, last I saw on Wiki. I stopped smoking because I wanted to, shabby equipment or not. If something drastic happened, I may pick up an analog again (I hope not) but no pressure....take your time. :)

Could try cleaning all the contacts and threads as dirty threads can cause you to lose some voltage.

You've just discovered Amperage or current, the eGo batts are regulated at a steady current due to their size whereas the the batt in the RoughStack isn't. A RoughStack doesn't have any regulation so you have a steady flow of current which means the coil in the attys stays consistently hot and not pulsed.
