i06 attys glowing from first use

Hi folks. I ordered some 1.5 i06 atty for myself and a friend (who doesn't have a computer so I'm posting on her behalf). I gave her Ikenvape's instructions on how to use it. She's got 5 attys. Two of them are working fine but says that 3 of them glow bright orange with their first use (with juice on them). She's using them with a Joye ego 650mah. It's been a while since I've used an i06 and my memory's fuzzy, but I remember one of mine starting to glow too and I believe they failed shortly after that. I've tried writing Isaac about it but haven't heard back, but I see he's closed at the moment. My friend really likes these i06's so she's rather upset about this problem. She's afraid they're going to blow up in her face...lol. Anyway, has anyone else had problems with their i06's glowing right from the start? Thanks!

I haven't experienced the problem hence why I did not reply earlier. Personally I never see my coil when I am vaping on an atty.

I've seen this question before and, while I'm not an authority, I thought that's just how atomizers work. You run current through a resistance wire and it a) gets hot, b) turns red and c) vaporizes your e-liquid. I don't know at what temperature the coil starts to glow so I may be mistaken.

The real question is: Is your friend getting a decent vape off these attys? If not, she may be running them too dry. I probably routinely flood my attys by dripping until they get just slightly slurpy/gurgly, but it works for me.

get hot yes, glow no, the boiling e-juice cools the coil through "latent heat of vaporization" the coil should remain close to the boiling temperature of the juice being vaped, coils should not glow unless they are dry.

Hey Aggo, please shoot me an email, they have been down, though I have a tremendous amount to go through, but a 2nd email wouldn't hurt to ensure. We'll swap them out for you. It definitely sounds like a defective item. . The resistance had to drop right down. I don't this behavior commonly but it's always a possibility. Even when these meter out properly, a true test would be to run the item for at least 2 days.

And just to clarify, she can see the atty glow through the i06 drip tip. I've seen it before myself.
