i live in egypt and it is very hard to find ecigs here and very expensive too 3 to 4 times its original price and you have the risk of it being a cheap clone that wouldnt last for a week i have been e smoking for 2 months now, and in the 2 months i had ego charger to just die on me and an ego battery to melt while charging and alot of bad e liquids that doesnt even compare to a bad Chinese liquid, i found some good things along the way such as a small kit called breakcig which i got from Switzerland and flavour art eliquids which made me love ecigs and helped me to decide i want to never go back to analogs again,
then i made the mistake of getting mods, i got the evic and the itaste svd which i thought would last me at least a year but in less than 20 days the evic is giving me strange error which is that when the battery is below 50% it says low battery and shuts down i tried looking for a solution but with no luck and i have the latest firmware 1.4 and i was using the Samsung battery that came with the evic,
and the SVD which looks like it would break the floor if it fell on it, but i was wrong to think that because when i received it it wasnt working with my evods right, it sometimes it does fire it and sometimes it doesnt connect at all, and also 2 days ago the -ve button stopped working and i have to press it really hard to make it work and now my svd is on loc mode and i cant get out of it because i have to press the - and the + keys to unlock it and of course no information anywhere to how to fix that.

so in 2 months i have payed almost 1000$ to realize it was too good to be true, and i guess i will eventually be forced to go back to analogs :(

Sorry to hear your troubles, hope you can get things turned around. Sorry I can't help you any either, I don't have either do those devices. I'm still using the original ego twist I got several months ago. Your story does make me appreciate how easy it is to pick up a device here, even in a pinch if needed I can run to a nearby convenience store at 2 am and buy a throw away ecig to get me by until the shops open. You want to come over and visit for awhile?

Is the stuff you are ordering from a reputable store? Are you purchasing cheap stuff just for the low price? This forum should give you a good idea where to order from. I purchased most of my stuff online and only had a ego battery show up that leaked in transit (the company rectified it immediately). Sorry about your misfortune, but don't give in yet. Read reviews, ask ECF veterans, spend some time on the forums and get the what, why, and where for all you need.

P.S.

Didn't you get the notice? Everyone here was instructed to send all their junk to you. ;)

In those countries where vaping is illegal I always recommend a Mechanical Mod because:
- no electronic parts to fail and are very durable.
- parts are easily and inexpensively replaceable.
- once the Tube is bought easy enuff to buy completely legal batteries and charger.
My first PV 2 yrs ago was a Mech Mod and except for 1 minor $10 repair that took less than 1 minute it looks and fires as great as the day I bought it. Can also add a kick if wanting variable voltage.

First, I'm sorry to hear you are having problems with your vape gear. I cannot help you specifically with those devices. If you can, try to use your Breakcig until you can resolve the problem. If not, you wouldn't be the first person to smoke analogs while trying to get gear that works for them.

I realize $1000 is a lot of money, but can you put a price on your health? If spending a little more keeps you off of the "cancer sticks", I say it's well worth it!

Remember to count your success by the cigarettes you don't smoke!

When your SVD is showing the LOC message-make sure when you hold down the + and - buttons that you hold them down long enough for the screen to scroll thru the options and finally show whatever volts/watts setting you have it set for. When I first got mine it took me awhile to figure out why the lock message wouldn't go off.
Also, as you are learning its cheaper in the end to purchase the best quality ecig you can from the start. By the time you have replaced the cheaper broken devices a few times, they end up costing you more.
Please don't give up on vaping yet. Once you get a working setup you wont regret the time and money you have invested in order to quit smoking. Best of luck to you!
Good luck.

well the ego style ones and all my clearomizers are from egypt and alot of them are still working great and the evic and svd and all the batteries i got them from US while a friend was there, from evcigarettes.com i tried to contact them but they havent answered yet and i doubt they could help me anyway because it will be a problem to ship them from egypt and back and they might get stopped by customs here anyway

Oy! So sorry to hear about your troubles. Maybe the best option is to forget mods, which sound expensive and unpredictable, and reorder more of the breakcig and the flavour art eliquids, plus lots of chargers. Surely there is a Swiss company that ships to Egypt? Also, you said that you had batteries/clearomizers that still work fine, so maybe stick with those for now. btw I don't know if this is possible in Egypt, but can you order some nicotine and flavors, buy pg/vg locally, and make your own juice? That way you control the quality and the flavor, and you'll never run out.

Re the charger/battery situation: Can it be a result of the electrical set up you have at home? The three chargers and the four ego style batteries I bought back in July are still going strong, so in my experience these are reliable items.

the kangertech protanks II and III work really well on the SVD btw.... that is my suggestion. order ten extra coils some 32gauge wire, 2mm wicks and you wont ever have to buy them again. as far as the LOC on the SVD, you seriously have to hold that sucker down a lot longer than what might seem rational, however by now Im quite sure you have tried everything. hope you get stuff worked out.
