Has anybody tried a set-up like this? I'm a TH chaser.... I feel like this may do the trick :vapor:

If you want to try this wig I suggest you first vape this resistance at 3,7 volts for 1/2 day first. After 1/2 day the wick will be saturated very well so you can do this setup easy without a burn taste:)

Ermm don't wan't to be a killjoy here but please be careful with your choice of battery if your trying this setup

1.5ohm at 6v is pulling 4 amps from a battery, i would recommend an IMR high drain 18650, plenty of amp headroom using an 18650 , LiFePo batteries are safer chemistry and the claim is they will not vent with flame, same applies to the IMR, but 4amps from a LiFePo....your going to put enormous stress on the battery and reduce it's lifespan considerably

Yip i would certainly recommend going slightly lower on the ohm's with a single cell battery, stacked batteries at that amp draw will make them more unstable and remember with stacking batteries that one battery discharges at a faster rate than the other, so eventually as well as having to handle the amperage draw the discharged battery also draws power from the fresher battery, no likey

Just to mention as well that a 3.7v battery normally comes off the charger at 4.2v, so a 1.1ohm coil on a freshly charged battery is still around 3.8amps, i would go with a high drain IMR, better safe than sorry :)

Thanks so much wombat -- you seem to know your stuff (and I know very little so I am grateful for you and individuals like you)

I try to only buy AW IMR -- was left without that option when going 6V so I just have the AW lifepo4
I do have AW IMR 18650s though

If you know anything about AVS's could you please check out my AVS thread! I'm having a lot of trouble!

Very welcome wigglr, AW IMR 18650's are the best battery around IMO, excellent "C" rating (ability to handle a constant high amperage draw)

AVS i had a long time ago, i remember the best results i had were with carto's (with a hole punched in the side) but there are some very knowledgable people on here who have the AVS down to a fine art, i'm sure they will be along with better advice on this than i could give, hope you get it vaping great soon
