Recently saw a post about using (2) 3.2V batteries with Iatty instead of the (1) 18650 3.7V I had been using. Tried it and loved it. Got clouds of vapor and excellent throat hit. Only problem is my resistance wire burns into very quickly. Sometimes it lasts a couple of days but other times it burns into immediately when I first take a hit. I looking for suggestions on how to get the resistance wire to last longer. Thanks.

Thanks Greddie. I don't have a multimeter and wouldn't know how to use it if I did haha. I just measure the wire like Imeo showed in his original Iatty video and wind it. I do have a Provari that I can use to check the ohms after Iatty is assembled but then I prefer to vape Iatty on the GGTS.
Yes, you need a longer wire to increase the restistence. I recommend using a multimeter for reading the ohms.

Smitty, if you want to use Iatty in higher ohms you need a thinner resistance wire because like this you will make less wraps around wick so it will fit easily inside the ceramic. As for the multimeter, it costs 10 dollars and its so easy to be used that you will get surprised. It has 2 wires and one big wheel. You put the wheel on ohms scale at 200 ohms. Then you touch its 2 wires to see what is shows on the display. Lets say its 0,3 ohm. Then you put the one wire on the center pole of the Iatty and the other wire on the tube of Iatty. Lets say that you read 3,5 ohms. So your real resistance is 3,5-0,3=3,2 ohms (0,3=that is the internal resistance of your multimeter that you messure when you touched the 2 wires together). Its that easy. Now you know that you have a 3,2 ohm resistance inside Iatty

If you want to messure the wire inside Iatty before you put it inside Iatty then you have to see my video about Iatty and you will totally understand:)

OK, you guys have convinced me. Maybe I can do it. I'm an accountant not an electronics tech but I'll give it a try. I was really pleased when I first learned to wind the coils for Iatty and it actually worked. Wow!!! Now I'll learn to use a multimeter. Maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks. Who knows, maybe one of these days I'll be an inventor like Imeo.

Multimeters are very simple if you can get 1 with aligator clamps it can make it a little easier to check the wires also.

The cheapest one I have used is

Amazon.com: Palm-Size Handheld Digital Multimeter - DT830B: Home Improvement
It works ok
I use this one the most because it's the only one not in storage lol
http://www.amazon.com/Equus-3320-Au...YGZA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1321667025&sr=8-2

Here are a couple others I've used also
Amazon.com: LCD Digital Ohm VOLT Meter AC DC Voltmeter Multimeter: Electronics
http://www.amazon.com/Extech-MN35-D...WR20/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1321667025&sr=8-9

I havn't seen one that comes with aligator clip leads but here is a seperate set I found that I ordered the other day isn't here yet.
Amazon.com: Banana to Large Alligator Lead Set: Home Improvement

I recommended the clamp leads because I think it would be slightly more convienient but I have been making iatty coils since August without thm so they arent needed

Thanks for the info fright. Only $6.37 - I thought they would be much more expensive than that.
