I just got my first IBTank in the mail today. I must say it's beautiful. However I don't have any cartos with a flange and its really slidey. I've let it sit for a couple hours and I'm still scared to put it in my pocket. I've already spilled a tank full of liquid on my desk.

Do any of you have any advice on how I can secure my tank?

If you have a choice of drip tips available, pick the tightest fitting one for the carto. That should give you a little piece of mind. Once the tank's o-rings settle, the tank will feel more snug.

Having said that, if this is your first tank, practice picking up your device by the device itself, and not by the tank just for good measure. And if you put the combo into a pants pocket, pull it out by the battery, not the tank. The tank WILL fit snugger than it does right now, but it can still be pulled off of the carto if you are careless.

By the way, the flanged carto's only keep a tank from sliding TOWARD the battery, not away from the battery.

I've had almost 7 months to get that grab the battery not the tank trick and also when taking it off grab it by the caps not the glass to twist. I wouldn't carry it in a pants pocket. I assume jacket or coat. I put mine in my purse a lot and the only time juice came out was when it broke probably from me sitting on it some how and jammed against my cell phone. Not likely but might maybe can happen. I made a lot messes with the tank carto starting it. I made and make a lot of messes period!

I have an older one and it grips the carto very well. I got two new ones a week or so ago and their both very lose. I think the o rings are different.

If they are truly "very loose", that's not good. Contact IBTanked via their contact and explain your issue. OCD or their support staff will offer recommendations or send you different o-rings.

I was wondering the same. I'm new to carto tanks and ordered my first one from IBTanked a few weeks ago and had to wait a while until they restocked their SS caps. I'm very happy with the tank, just ordered another, but was surprised how easily the carto slid in and out. Haven't had any leaking, and it did grab a little tighter with time. Actually did a ECF search for this issue after I received it.

Going to take Baditudes advice and contact the company.

My carto is also super loose in my recent purchase... slid in and out almost effortlessly, and even with an overnight of no-touching, the tank spins pretty easily. That said, 2 days now (well, since Friday night) and no leaks. And I have a tight, bulbous, steel ming on there, so the tank is not coming off that way.
