So after doing some research I've decided I'm going to order an ibtank. I like the craftsmanship and that I can put any juice in it and don't have to worry about cracking. Almost went the UCDT Carto tank setup, but just figure if im gonna spend the money might as well go all in so I can get the full experience with a Carto setup. So thanks for evryones input on my last thread. So here are my questions:

1. I'm going with 19mm setup will I have any issues with it on my MVP 2.0 and Zmax Mini?

2. I was thinking about going with the XL cartos what ohn should I get?

3. Is XL fine or should I just go standard just notice alot of people use the XL so I figure why not.

4. On the site they offer a Drip Tip Tool is that the same as the Slap Your Mama?

5. I'm gonna order a pack of Cardos from where I find them cheapest what would you guys suggest, I'm definitely getting pre punched but I see that these brands offer certain number holes ohms ect. Im going to order Boge cartos if that helps, unless there is something better and cheapet. I like all kinds of juice I'm going to order some Unicorn Blood from Fuzion Vapor, and some Boba since I'm getting a new setup might as well break it in with some of the best lol.

6. Also will any drip tip fit on it?

Sorry for all the questions but I just want to get it right the 1st time, and since its my 1st Carto setup I just want the best experience, don't want to half ... it. So any help will be greatly appreciated.

Also thanks to all the ECF members that have helped me to this point, I know I've asked alot of questions but I always get triple the answers thats why this is my go to Vape Forum hands down. Now that I think about it's the only one I go to lol.

Thanks

I'm also ordering my first IBtanked carto tank right now. This will be my second carto tank....I was lucky enough to get a VVV polypro economy tank before they closed down.

I knew from the get go, that if I liked using carto tanks (which I do) that I was going to order an IBTanked.....and here I am, ordering one today!

1. I'm going with the 19mm too, although ,
2/3. I'm going to go standard, NOT XL....the main reason being that my VVV carto tank uses standard 35mm cartos, so I want to be able to use the same cartos. I think you should be fine either way, just depends on how long you want the cartos/tank to be I guess.

4. I believe the drip tip tool is slightly different....I've heard people say the slap yo momma is better, not sure why though. I too am curious, but either way its only 2.50, so I'm going to order it now, and if I need the slap yo momma tool, I'll get it later.

5. surevapes.com, HANDS DOWN. The ONLY place I order cartos from....unless they run out, then I order from litecigusa.net. Surevapes.com is one of the FEW vendors that carries SLOTTED cartos, instead of punched holes. I like the slotted WAY better, and I think many people do as well. It feed way better into the tank.

The reason I use litecigusa.net when surevapes is out of slotted cartos is because at litecigusa.net, they punch BIGGER holes than anywhere else I've looked at for cartos. Most laser punched holes are 1mm I believe, at least the ones I've gotten before, and they suck. At litecigusa.net , they are 1.7mm which makes a HUGE difference if you have at least half VG or higher.

For me, a carto with 1 HOLE that is 1.7mm, feeds WAY better than a carto with TWO holes at 1mm. So, I recommend either surevapes.com or litecigusa.net for the cartos

6. Any drip trip that uses a 510 connect should fit

Ive got the same filler drip tip. Its not the same quality as a Slap Yo Mama but it works just fine. I can fill my tanks completely full with a syringe quite easily.

I would go with the XL size in 19mm for one reason. It hold more juice. Ibtanked are thicker Pyrex and even the 19mm XL only holds about 2ml plus what is in the carto. Roughly 3.5ml total. It will be close to the same size as a DCT Pyrex but holds less juice. You may want to check the mm to inches conversion charts if you want to compare sizes to other tanks. Check IBtanked FAQs for more details about volume.
http://www.ibtanked.com/faq

On the MVP i would stay close to 2ohms for best performance. The MVP v2 voltage output is nearly spot on at 2ohms according to Phil's Youtube review and my taste buds agree. The 1.7s im using atm are working great though so its not carved in stone.

I like the #9 drip tip but that is also a personal preference. It works well with flat end caps and holds the tank down. Its currently on my DCT pyrex so im not sure how well it will fit the IBtanked.

When my 19mm XL arrives i can give a more informed opinion. ATM im still using the DCT Pyrex and the 19mm XL is slightly smaller and the 22mm XL is slightly larger OD. I like the size and look of the DCT on my MVP with the drip tip i mentioned. It appears the IBtanked 19mm XL will be exactly the look and quality I want.

I have some IBTanked questions myself:

1. On Baditude's blog, he says 15mm is good for ego twists, and 22mm is good for vamos/provaris. Well, I plan on using my IBtanked CT on ego twists AND vamos...and I was going to get 19mm. Should 19mm be good for both?

2. I noticed the carto that comes with the tank is flanged. Will non-flanged cartos work? I hope so, because I use non-flanged cartos for my VVV polypro tank, and I'd prefer to be able to use the same cartos for both tanks.

Thanks guys

Are the cartos you use flanged, and what ohm do you use.

Wondering if I should just go 22mm XL instead of 19mm XL just dont want to have to constantly be refilling but not sure if it would look weird on the MVP and Zmax

22mm looks fine on both... and, IMO, the standard 35mm length is more than adequate. Measure 45mm (XL) above your APV, then add a drip tip length to that - do you really want an XL?

You can use unflanged cartos in nearly any carto tank. The tank can not slide down past the ring so the only purpose it serves is to make is easier to tighten on a DCT or F16 tank. The IBtanked tanks don't look like the bottom cap is machined to take advantage of the flange. They appear to be flat and very thin. https://www.ibtanked.com/caps

F.A.Q.

Q: What type of cartomizer fits the tanks?

A:
Any XL (45mm) 510 Cartomizer should fit our XL tanks.
Any Standard (35mm) 510 Cartomizer should fit our Standard tanks

Hole placement might be the only thing to watch. Some may be a bit high and require you to fill sooner because the caps are thinner than some other tanks. Check the Youtube videos for IBtanked. You will get a better idea of what you want.

This one has some close ups

You have to keep in mind that the dimensions (19mm or 22mm) really only matter for aesthetics. Any tank diameter will work fine on any device, it's just a question of appearances.

Good to see you poppin' in Ray. How's it goin'?... if the OP don't mind the side-step that is. :)

(For some of you who don't know who Ray is... well, lets just say, he's a "carto tank-meister", and one of the good guys. ;-))

I just placed an order with IBTanked. Picked up 2 19mm tubes one clear one sandlewood. Got two sets of black caps and a pack of assorted color orings. I already have one 19mm tank with stainless steel caps and it has given me excellent service for a year now.

I get me carts from http://buckysbargainvaping. He has the cheapest prices anywhere I have found and he's a great guy to work with. He use to run group buys here. I get the boge LR XL 2.0 ohm 2 hole single coil.

What is the most popular on the cartos

It is probably equally distributed between Smoktech and Boge, as they are the most easily available from nearly all vendors. Ikenvape is only available from a couple of select vendors. They are my favorite - better flavor production and longer lasting than the other two. They are in limited production so kind of hard to find in stock.

Mine arrived!!!

The 19mm XL is nearly identical in length on my MVP V2 as a Pro Tank-II with the PT-II drip tip in both. Perfect match for the MVP beauty ring too in OD and leaves just a very tiny gap with a flanged cart.

The Ikenvape carto though is a tad longer than the tanks end caps. IIRC Boge F16s are the same way. If i use the #9 tip i listed earlier, i have to move the tank up the carto for a flush fit. About the thickness of a finger nail. Then i just loosen the beauty ring until it meets the tank and it looks perfect.

VERY nicely made though. Nice finish and fit. The carto o-ring holds it much tighter than i expected. It easily grabs it tight enough to tighten or remove. Looks awesome on the MVP!!!!!
