I was just wondering if someone could walk me through what I would need to get the best carto from ibtanked. I noticed they have so many choices.. I clicked on complete tanks and then it gives me this list of dropdowns I have selected the following.

19mmxl tube
smok 2.0 ohm single coil 2 hole xl
everything else looked to be personalized color options... Is this a good coil option or are there better options?

The 2.0 ohm work fine for me, though they seem to be out at the moment, just placed another order with them, myself. I picked up some of the 3.2 ohms as they are in stock, should work fine also.

Correction, I use the standard length carts, so they may have the xl's in stock.

also, be sure to pick up one of their filling tool drip tips, if you don't have a slap yo mama or equivalent.. makes filling a whole lot easier.

That depends upon what voltage you will be using.

A single voltage device such as an fixed voltage ego or mechanical mod can use either low or standard resistance. A regulated or variable voltage device can use either standard or high resistance.

Even though the carto's come pre-punched, I always punch at least one more hole. More times than not I cut 2 slots in addition to the 2 pre punched holes. When I first started I would get dry hits. I thought it may be from lack of wicking. That is why I have added the extra holes or slots.

I have only been using cartos for about a month, and not yet had a dry hit or flooded carto. Since adding the extra hole/slots.
This has worked for me

I haven't had to punch extra holes in my carts (2 hole Smok's) for them to wick correctly and that is using a thicker eliquid (100% VG), though I know some have problems with that issue, as Pepple has stated above. As to resistance, you can always increase (or lower) the voltage/watts to get the desired flavor/vapor output.. regardless of the resistance of the carts themselves, now that we know your device(s). :)

Priming your carts is important to avoid dry hits/burning, so keep this in mind.

Baditude has a great guide for all things cartomizer related.

"Better results" could be interpreted and dependent upon subjective experience. I will say that you will have a wider choice of voltages available to you if you choose a 3.0 ohm cartomizer. If you look at a Safe Vaping Power Chart, you can see that a 3.0 ohm carto will allow you to choose between 3.4 - 5.0 volts. (This chart is to be used as a general guideline, and nothing is a hard rule to follow.)

Low resistance will give a warmer vape. Higher resistance will give a cooler vape.

I recommend getting some 2.0 ohm and 3.0 ohm cartos and decide which YOU like best.

By the way, I use the 2-hole pre-punched cartos with mainly 50/50 pg/vg juices and do not need to punch larger holes.

The Smok 2.0 ohm XL single coil LR is one of my go-to cartos on VV/VW. You really don't need the flange on the Smok pre-drilled cartos with IBTanked, but it won't be a problem, either. The other Smok XL single coil LR I like is 1.7 ohm. I like the unpunched Smoks, without the flange and punch myself. I use four smallish punches for 95% VG juice. I generally vape around 6.5 watts.
