I'm here, when I'm here
Let's see. I have 2 - KT Evods, 1 - KT Protank II, 1 - KT Mini Protank II, 1 - Aspire ET S (working it's way to being my favorite) and my current favorite, iclear 30. Favorite liquid in the 30 - Blueberry Waffle with Extra Maple Syrup. :) All tanks work well on my MVP 2.

So, I'm enjoying my vape on my MVP at 4.2v (regular setting with the 30) with my coffee and all of the sudden, no vapor or flavor. It like, quit working. MVP works but the 30 quit. Coil ohms showed "A0.0". So I changed the coil. "A2.0" Cool! :2cool: Took a couple drags and nothing again. "A0.5"?? Checked the 30 on my itaste vv v3 and got the same result. I haven't fiddled with anything or changed anything, except the coil. Regular care and maintenance. I've had the 30 for 4 months and never a problem. Any ideas??

Thanks in advance for your help and input. Happy vaping!! :vapor:

If you are getting very low resistance readings, 0.5Ω or less for standard coils, a short is imminent or has already taken place (0Ω). A protected mod should shut down/off when the resistance of your atty drops too low. I think you're dealing with bad coils. They are shorting and shutting off you battery. You may try contacting your vendor--if those coils are relatively new.

Katya, Thank you for the reply. I figured after about 140 views, someone would eventually answer. :D I can understand what you're saying with the second coil that I installed in the iclear 30 however, the coil that went 1st to 0.0 ohms I had been vaping for about 2 weeks and still going strong. I thought the coil itself had finally just gave out and broke is the reason it went to 0.

The second coil I installed started out at 2.0 ohms then lasted for about five good hits and then went to 0.5. The second coil was my last one in the box and had no trouble out of the other 4. I've been getting about 2 weeks out of a coil in the 30.

I don't believe there is anything wrong with my MPV as all of my Kanger and Aspire tanks/coils work just fine. It's just weird. So, the short would be in the coil and not the MPV? This could all be a moot point as I am really liking the Aspire ET-S. I picked one up at a convention in Tampa a few weeks ago. Yeah, I like the 30 but the Aspire is awesome!

Thanks again! :vapor:

Yeah, it's your coil--don't use it anymore. If your MVP works fine with other toppers, use those. Coils go bad for no good reason sometimes. old and new alike. The old ones get covered with gunk, which does affect their resistance--it can go up and down. ry burning stresses coils and may lead to breakage. Some new coils are just DOA--they are made out of thin, fragile wire and quality control is often spotty.
