iclear 30 maintanance

anybody else get the iclear 30 yet? got it a couple days ago, vaped a couple tanks, and now I am wondering if you would dry burn these coils like any other clearo even tho it's 2 coils? I don't see them glowing red like a ce4 or nova would, so I thought I would stop and ask. anyone? as always, thanks in advance.

I'm assuming these are just like any other coil system, but with one coil below the other, wondered if the heat rising from the first coil might burn the wick that sits above it? worse case is I toast a cheap head finding out.

I dry burned my Iclear 16 and both coils glowed until clean. Seemed to work fine.
Things puttin' out vapor like a chimney!

does anyone know what the heck the iclear 30 wicks are made out of? is it silica?

I had one in my hand and now I'm having a pretty bad allergic reaction.
Scary stuff. took some zyrtec. pretty sure it wasn't anything I ate since I haven't eaten anything new today...

I've cleaned and dry burned mine. Came out good and works better than before. Also, no allergic reaction or otherwise from handling the wicks. The feel like other silicon wicks; Vivi Nova for example.

The wicks are silica... I did a dry burn on the one that came with it, but I have yet to put it back in the tank, as I only have one iClear 30 at the moment, and I switched in a different head. (note: a lot of the vendor sites say that the iClear 16 heads aren't compatible with the iClear 30... I beg to differ. I'm running an iClear 16 1.5 ohm head in my iClear 30 right now, and it's performing like a champ)

The wicks are different between the iClear 16 and 30 but the head/post appear to be identical.

I have been rinsing mine in hot water and dry burning them. If the bottom coil goes red before the top, I rewet a couple of the wicks feeding it until I can see the top one glow. Rinse, pat dry the wicks and go...no problems noted.

I, too, have been using the 16s heads in the i30 and it works.

I needed to know I had back-up until I ordered more heads for the 30s as they weren't available at the time I purchased the i30

Oooo...very sorry to hear that; the reaction to some dyes can be quite serious at times

I seem to be ok today, was just itchy and breaking out in hives everywhere ! 0.o
Thank god for benadryl.
