iclear 30s burning problems!

I've scoured the entire internet for ONE person thats having the same issue as me... and for naught.

i have the iclear30s with the wicks all contained in the center metal barrier.

So when i put in my ejuice, (peach cream to be specific, delicious in a cartomizer!) i filled it up to about 2ml right? I want to try all my new flavors instead of filling up and having to dump it back in or wait until i finish. Well i hit it and its absolutely awful. Burnt as hell, i literally physically threw up in my sink. So i let it sit for an hour to "soak." as well as made sure it was clean and was wicking properly through some series of dry burning and such. Anyway, i put my ejuice back in, filled up to 3ml and it works wonders!

So while i was at work i took a hit, and a hint of burnt taste was back. A few more hits and it was ONLY the burnt taste i was getting. I checked the liquid amount, it was at 2.5ml. So get this. 2.5ml reaches over half the tank's liquid capacity, and its still burning it. The ONLY WAY for me to get rid of the burnt taste is to fill it past 3ml (which is the max capacity) Every single FRICKING TIME i get to 2.5 i get that horrible burnt taste.

I checked the wicks, they reach the bottom of the tank, so why can't they pick up liquid under 2.5 ml????

i'm running 30 VG 70 PG... really thin. I've tried 50/50 VG/PG and 20/80 VG/PG as well as 70/30 VG/PG

Its not the liquid vivacity thats causing it.

I have a 10 pack of replacement coils. Dual coil. I've tried changing it out.

TLDR;

2.5ml and under is burnt taste.
I've tried every liquid density
I've tried switching coils
I've tried cleaning it
I've tried letting the juice soak in for an hour or two, and overnight
only 3.0ml or higher of liquid actually yeilds a hit.

Please help i'm wasting all my liquid :(

Yes check the wattage first, but it still doesn't make sense that it wouldn't taste burnt at 3ml, but it would when you filled it to 2ml. Second check the coil brand, they could be a cheap brand that just burns easily. I've had a bad batch of coils before they were purchased at just a cheap smoke shop instead of a vapor store.

I have used both the 30 and 30s quite frequently and I usually run mine down to 1.5 mls before adding more juice. Between vapes I hold my SVD in the palm of my hand almost horizontal and just rotate it, letting the juice coat the whole inside of the center metal jacket. No issues ever.
I've never experienced your problem before, it just made sense to me to do this to a top feeding tank.

Good luck.

Forgive me if you know this, but filling up a new 30S to 2ml and taking a vape will give you instant burning/dry hits.

iClear30S needs to be filled the entire way (and left to sit) OR you'll need to do lots of swilling around the liquid.

Once you have it up and running, it needs plenty of encouragement to keep those wicks wet. Again, I don't know how long you've been vaping, but just sitting a clearo upright expecting the wicks to work 100% isn't going to work for most top coilers. They simply do not wick fast enough. If you can keep them wet, the 30S can be vaped with any ratio liquid and right up to 9 or 10 watts easily.

Sometimes, the silicone ring at the top of the "cartridge" (atomizer section) can burn on the coil, but it's only happened once or twice for me, and then they are throw-away I'm afraid.

Sometimes, also, new 30S can have a bad metallic taste. The only way to to cure this is to soak them overnight.

Not perfect, but a good vape once you've worked out stuff.
