I really dislike clearos, and haven't even used one in over a year. However, I have a bad batch of cartos that is driving my crazy. Replacement cartos will arrive next week. I use carto tanks, by the way, and sometimes RBAs. I really don't feel like rebuilding anything right now.

I have an iClear 30S that is unused. I use mostly lightly colored high PG juice. Use this, or buy a ProTank? I am out of touch with clearos, and not even sure which ones are better, or not as bad, or whatever. My primary device is a ProVari. I use my VTR often, as well, which is where I got the iClear.

Other suggestions must be Pyrex and have 510 connection. I have no Ego threadeding on my devices.

Thanks :)

ETA: In the past, the ones I used were Kanget t2 and Vision Vivi Nova.

I'd say the aspire nautilus is state of the art currently. I find the aspire coil units outperform the Kangers and the size and air flow control of the nautilus puts it over the top. If you have to get a new tank, that's what I'd do over either of the tanks you mentioned.

That said, if you don't like clearos and are just doing this while waiting on new cartos, why not just use the iclear you already have (bird in the hand...)?

can i ask where you get ur cartos, i'm looking for non flanged carto's that are boge quality but lower than 2 ohms for a single coil

anyway, i've used the protank and iclear30 and 30's....got to admit though, most clearo's to me are all around the same in terms of me likeing them...i think the bottom coils are a bit easier to work with and less dry hits but the i clears are warmer vapor and maybe slightly better flavor, either one will fit your needs

I understand what you are saying, but....my major objection to it is that it is not glass. I like my tank-cracking juice. The ProTank, however, is sometimes prone to issues with a ProVari.

Or I can buy the Nautilus and see if I might like it, which due to shipping time, has me back using the iClear in the meantime.

No, I am not normally this flaky. :p

Ikenvape Platinum, in your case, LR. That is what I am waiting on. Not sure if they have anymore in stock. The other brand is Smok and many vendors have them.

I have 2 Protanks, 2 Protank 2's, 2 iClear30's, and 2 iClear30S's.....either Protank beats either iClear, IMHO, hands down.....and if you add the Kanger airflow control base that came out recently it gets even better...but....I also have 2 Dbox Puritanks and that higher capacity clearo trumps them all...YMMV...

I'll wait a couple of months to try the Nautilus...the price will drop below 20 bucks when the shine of relative newness wears off and maybe the stupid high priced coils for it will drop a bit as well...

if your going for glass tanks, theres nothing wrong with the protanks, i had two of them both went r.i.p. in the same weekend and i never replaced them but i did enjoy them while they worked

if it matters i work with two guys who vape, one swears by protank and the other vivi nova, so it's really a matter of preference but the juice of choice could play a big role

Well, if you already have the iclear30-s, might as well fill it up and vape, see how you like it. It was my favorite tank before I starting using rebuildables. My juice preference was high VG though, also very light in color, and never had wicking/leaking issues.

Personally, I preferred the iclear30S over my cartos since I like a warmer vape and the flavors came out very nicely. Flavors came out nice on the cartos too, but in a slightly different way.

Bottom line the best thing you can do is just give it a go and see which one you prefer ;) Hopefully, whether you like the 30S or not, it can hold you over until you get your replacement cartos in.

Funny thing...I often hear that folks break the glass on their Protanks but I've dropped and knocked over my mods (mod down!) plenty of times and have yet to break a glass tank (knock on wood)...:vapor:

I shattered one carto tank when I dropped my ProVari on a concrete floor. The advantage of carto tanks, however, is that you can just replace the tube at minimal cost.
