I tried an Iclear16 clearo and it started to taste burnt after only two tanks (one tank is only like 2ml), this seems a rather short "life". I wonder if the head can be dry burned just like the vivi nova head?

What can I do to prolong the useful life of the head before dry burning or replacing is required?

Could it be the fact that I've been using a yellowish strawberry flavored juice which makes it gunk up faster than a clear juice?

Thanks

I've noticed that I have to constantly get the juice to the top of the iclear16 to keep it from getting nasty also keep the tank right at the max mark as much as you can.

Unravel the wicks on the iclear16 and you will experience a much greater ability for them to get the juice to the coils and also don't push down the rubber seal so hard that it pinches off the wicks from doing what they do best....getting juice to the coils.

Do you notice this even with a new head? Or only after a few (how many) tanks?

I noticed this with a new coil or used: If I don't have the wick completely saturated (no air bubbles) at the top it will taste burnt, however if I only take one pull it doesn't seem to matter that much.

That's a good idea. So far, it seems the Iclear16 has "too much wicks" fit inside a small tank and it really impedes the flow of the juice inside the tank, such as when you swirl the tank in an attempt to wick it better. I wonder if unraveling the wicks will improve it a bit, have yet to try it...
