If you have a multimeter, you can test the iClear for resistance. If you have in spec resistance, then your issue is a lack of continuity with the topper screwed in... probably a short center pin. If you don't have in spec resistance, then you can have an open (coils broken - or infinite Ω) or a short (coils shorted to ground - or meter resistance only).


Try Mike's suggestion... most 510/510s have a floating pin that might make up the difference, if the mechanical connection is the issue.

Drats! That's what I feared.

I will try the 510/510 connector before I throw it out. I wanted to get one of those for my Vamo anyway since I have heard the threads wear out on those quickly.

I bought two iClears from the same B&M. If the other one's a dud too I am going to be really disappointed.
