How can I tell if my new iClear tank is a dud or if there is some tweaking I can do to make it work? I tried it on my eVic first and got a "No Atomizer Detected" error. So I tried it on my Vamo and a Spinner next and nothing. Any tips? Thanks!
If you have a multimeter, you can test the iClear for resistance. If you have in spec resistance, then your issue is a lack of continuity with the topper screwed in... probably a short center pin. If you don't have in spec resistance, then you can have an open (coils broken - or infinite Ω) or a short (coils shorted to ground - or meter resistance only).
Try Mike's suggestion... most 510/510s have a floating pin that might make up the difference, if the mechanical connection is the issue.
I will try the 510/510 connector before I throw it out. I wanted to get one of those for my Vamo anyway since I have heard the threads wear out on those quickly.
I bought two iClears from the same B&M. If the other one's a dud too I am going to be really disappointed.
No clearo/glassomizer is a (electrical) dud that can't be "un-dudded". Don't toss them, send them and a spare coil/head assy. to me... I'll get them to work.
