I noticed one of the Icon photos on your website shows an eGo cartomizer attached to an Icon. Question is, what adapter or combination of adapters would allow for the attachment of an eGo carto or XL atty without leaving any gaps between the top of the Icon and the atty? I'm trying to avoid having to trim the plastic on the bottom of the carto.

Thanks

Much easier to trim the plastic, that's what I do on mine, tinstar. However, you could try a combo of my shorty 510-808, and then a 901-510 back again.

Seriously, trimming is the way to go - for this application, you just need to trim flush with the bottom of the connector and it goes on perfectly, looks great, and vapes beautifully - one of my all time fave combos.

I haven't seen the photo with the Icon/eGo caromizer, and I don't have an Icon. However, it looks to me that the suggestion by Lisa would do it for cartos. I trimmed them down to use on my Black Silver Bullet, that worked great and was easy to do!

But, the Mega Cylinder Atomizer (Type-B) is a bit more of a challenge, since the cylinder is metallic. I used a pair of adapters, as Lisa suggested, but they left a gap and the one in the atty was a bit of a ..... to extract. If you were willing to risk an atomizer, you could try using a Dremel type tool to cut the collar off.

I keep hoping someone will come up with a single adapter expressly for this purpose.

I think it looks really nice and I use this particular setup a lot.

As you say though, NCC, the mega eGo atties are another issue and it's hard to find an adapter combo that works nicely on some mods and yes, there's the problem of removing the adapters afterwards. A specific adapter would be a challenge because some mods require a different length to look half decent - i.e, you leave more of the plastic skirt on with the ICON and you remove it all to use on the oMeGa.

Hi Lawnman, lovely to see you here on my forum. :)

The black protected AW batteries do indeed fit, you just need to remove a washer from the button mechanism to account for the slightly longer length of them. They shouldn't be a problem widthways but if they do feel at all tight, you can just remove the AW sticker from them.

Thanks Lisa, I think your method will be the one to go with. I have the adapters you mentioned and tried it. It does work but it does leave a bit of a gap. No biggie. I was just wondering if it was possible.

Thanks
It does work really well and looks great as you can see. Just make sure you use scissors rather than a knife - I tried with a craft knife at first and it was all over the place and rather ugly - I then tried a nice pointed pair of scissors and it's easy to get a neat finish.
