ICON super sensitive switch?

just got my new icon today and the thing almost burned a hole in my pocket..

the switch has to be super tight at the bottom and if i turn it even the slightest bit...it can go off and stay firing... is there a fix to this? or is it supposed to be like this?

i had the prodigy and the switch was nothing like this...

im using the aw imr 14500s

i really want this to work..i love the size and looks but im damn scared to even put it in my pocket

edit: im messing with it and still nothing..even as im locking the switch by turning it itll sometimes fire and keep firing until i unscrew it

edit2: the screw is turned completely off and as i screwed on the atomizer it started firing

okay did some google searching and fixed the problem. to anyone experiencing the same thing, unscrew the switch (the gold flat head part) and remove the steel washer, that seemed to do the trick and feels just like the prodigy i got (i got the prodigy used so i don't know how the original switch was)

i highly highly recommend doing this and it even being sold this way... i think i burnt out my attie unfortunately.. but now i love this thing

Either remove the washer (that's under the delrin spacer) that the screw passes through or remove the delrin spacer itself and add a washer or two.

Do whatever leaves you with what you prefer or feel is the best "throw" on the switch/button.

Another thing to check is the spring.......if it is touching the wall of the unit it will short and create a misfire.

There was a slight learning curve for me...


For me, it was just a matter of loosening the screw around the washer.

Yezir, just add and remove washers in the switch to increase or decrease the amount of throw the button has.
