You mean the wire itself? You keep it? How many times can you "bring it back"? I mean, I just ordered 100' for about $10 including shipping so I'd think that's an awful lot of effort. Unless winding a coil is awful.

No I mean hte whole head. I tend to leave the crappy wire in it until I rebuild it as a reminder how it all goes back together.

I thought I'd just throw the parts into boiling water for a bit before rebuilding them. I guess that's not how it's done. Guess I should get mineself to google.

There probably are as many methods to recoiling as there are vapers. Do some homework and find what works best for you.

I personally wait until I have a stack of heads to recoil then just do all of them in one go. Once I get into the rhythm of that type of coil it just goes faster for me.

These days I don't use my protanks/evods/vivi novas/CE5s so much so it can be months between recoilings. Leaving them in one piece is a nice reminder of how each one goes together. :)

My RM2 I tend to only have to recoil once a month so I just do it when needed. (It is a RDA for a bottom feeder).

SAN DIEGO SAN DIEGO SAN DIEGO! I missed my yearly trip out there this year, my niece just moved there, I recently had a client out there just all of you RUBBING ITIN!!

Okay... ekowool. When I start using it I'll do it that way and see what happens.

Better make it next year!

I stopped throwing mine away. I finally started dry burning to bring them back to life, then I got curious about rebuilding so I stopped tossing them out. I've only done a few, but it's pretty easy for a basic build. My micro coil turned out to be more like a sprung slinky, lol. I fired the kanthal before and after, so I'm not sure what happened. Regardless, I won't stop trying :)

The secret to it is once you install it, fire the coil until red and use pliers to gently squeeze it together (once you let off the button). Hold it until it cools and that will reduce how springy it is and make it nice and tight.

You wicked, wicked creature.
Originally from Chicago- so I know what you're going through! I have to rub it in when I can.
