Some of the worst ideas ive made were not making bad decisions. For some reason when I typed this I imagined a dog chasing its tail lol sometimes I wish I knew how my brain works... The rest of the time Im afraid to ask

Making a coil where you have two different gauges wrapped parallel gives you a staged coil where one will heat before the other.
Just make sure you test it on a ohm reader, twisting 24g will give you a low resistance, coupled with a parallel of twisted 28g will bring it down even further.
