Idea for a potential alternate Alpha atomizer interface.

Has any thought been given to making atomizer interfaces to other popular atomizers?

I'm specifically speaking to Ego type atomizers, the ones with a skirt.

I occasionally like to use my LR B-tanks, when I'm out and about and don't want to carry a bottle of juice to top off the RES.

I ordered some of the mini 510-to-510 adapters (overpriced btw), and they create a perfect fit for my Ultra, but I like sleek, natural, looks on my e-cigs, and the exposed threading bugs me a little..

This is what it looks like with the mini-adapter and the tank installed:

Would be real cool if an atomizer interface could be fabricated to mate up with these atomizers, since they are very common now. Bonus points if the interface tapered up slightly with a well that the bottom of the atomizer skirting would go into slightly to give it a seamless look.

Looks even better if I use stainless atomizers btw.. :p

Any chance something like this would be worth the time and machining?

This is not exactly what you are looking for but I got a 510 to 510 adapter that also doubles as a connector for a mod that has a washer to screw onto the mod, they sell them at madvapes and are shorter than other 510to 510s. Anyways if you remove the washer and use it as a 510 to 510 connector and screw it onto the regular atomizer interface and then screw on the ego style carto or atty it looks much better, it does not show threads and it looks almost seamless. Did that make sense or do I need to take a picture? Not the greatest at explaining

The adapter i'm using is that exact one from madvapes. The threads that you see in the pic are from the RES interface, the skirting of the atomizer will not fit over those. Although it might on the 10440 version alpha, which I had not considered (nor do I own one, I just have the ultra).

My idea is for an interface similar to the regular interface (the one that does not mate up to the RES), but with a seamless tapered well so that the skirting of the atomizer is actually not visible.

Does that make any sense? Wish I was good at making drawings....

EDIT:

Now that I re-read your post, I realized that you mean to use the shorty extension with the regular interface. I do not have one of those since I bought the alpha kit with just the RES interface. Any chance you could post a pic of what it looks like with the regular interface cap, short extension, and an Ego atty?

What am I missing here? Have you tried the standard atomizer interface (non-RES)?

It was just some wishful thinking. There are times when I like to use the ego-B LR tanks (for convenience and longevity), and I was thinking it would look really slick if there was an end cap or atomizer interface that didn't require an adapter, and hid the lower skirting (or converged smoothly with it) of an ego specific atomizer...
