Idea: Is it possible to create a mechanically powered vaporizer?

I mean just solder a mechanical generator to the appropriate wires, slap a voltage regulator onto there and we're good to go?

Hand crank from an old telephone may do the trick. Made the mistake once of holding one in my hand and gave it a spin. Instantly numb from my fingers to shoulder.
