Stick in the range of 5 volts and we'll be ok then, I reckon? :)

I suupose you should not ask if you do not want to hear the answer. If you think in ratios, a 3.5 ohm atty run at 6 is a factor of 2.5. If you had a 5.5 ohm atty, then a factor of +2.5 would equal 8 volts. Not really riduculous and a combination that would provide about 10% more power than a 3.5 ohm atty running at 6 volts. Could be fun and entertaining asI have vaped at this combination.

With 8 volts, do atomizers get fried quickly?

With an atomizer with a higher resistance (5.4-5.8, for example), it would be able to handle the high voltage. Will the atomizer last longer, probably not. For me, I like a high current to my atomizer of 1.4+. This is close to what you get with a 3.5 ohm atty on a 6 volt device.

I'm soooo with you on this, Grimm. If it could just STAY there for 8 hours or so... LOL

yeah , the 14500 battery comes pretty close to that , at least the closest i have experienced so far...

a 14500 battery , with a 510 atty is pretty much my favorite set up right now.

I don't know if I'd call it false advertising but I'm skeptical as I haven't seen one do that as of yet.

Just took out the multimeter. Tested the manual switch to run at ~4.1 volts and the auto to run at 3.8~ VDC

Monster batteries with manual switch are putting out around 4.1 as well.. Hope this helps :)
