Although to some, this may be the joy of vaping (with passthroughs and whatnot), it is becoming a little bit of a problem for me, a former light smoker

I'm only on day two, so this might just be a case of new-toy syndrome, but having that brand spankn' new 510 in the drawer next to me makes it so tempting to pull out every few minutes. I live in residence at university, and my smoke breaks used to consist of putting on the old smokey sweatshirt, heading down 5 flights of stairs to the basement, going outside, having my smoke, and treking back upstairs to my room. I'd average 4 a day, and they were great motivational study breaks to go outside and clear my head. Being able to take my breaks at the desk has been convenient, but I've been tempted to vape while studying, defeating the purpose. Have you seasoned vets found good ways to controll yourselves with the freedom of e-cigs?

Ive quite smoking last june and started vaping, I started at 24mg 3.7v now at 24-32 at 5-7v wish I could say differently but I cant. My juice intake has gone way up lately also use to be at 1-2 ml a day now almost 9 months or so later im around 5-6 ml a day

This is prolly due to your higher voltage PV's. They suck the niquid up.

On topic, I agree with the no-nic idea. Use ur regular dosage when you feel like you want to, but after an alloted time, switch to no nic, and back and forth.

It's prolly partly due to the new toy syndrom, I vaped for a month and relapsed, but I remember the last 2 weeks I did it a lot less...even less than I smoked (pack a day, and I have since quit again. My sig is up to date)

Or....or...why limit yourself? Thats the beauty of vaping. If you overdo it, your body will tell you. I get kinda a slightly nauseous upset stomach feeling (no pain). When this happens, I put it down for a bit. But if you dont get that feeling, there's no medical reason to set it down. If you want to its cool but..................................^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

After 10 months I actually do vape a lot less than I used to, but it depends on circumstances. I always smoked non stop when I studied or wrote, so I do vape non stop when I am doing that now.

On the other hand I don't vape every time I have a cup of coffee now, or get behind the wheel, or a whole lot of other times when I used to smoke.

So vaping has some different rhythms for me than smoking did as well as some that overlap the old habits.

I do control the amount of nic I take in though. I vape 0mg when I am chain vaping, 6mg is my normal everyday vape and I keep a small bottle of 24mg for the odd occasion when I really feel the need to be "up and on".

I just let it find its own level over time and did not stress it at all.:)

So I'm onto day three and I'm getting things under control a little more. I went to my morning classes, then had my vape break, then some lunch and my afternoon classes, then another vape break, now I'll study for a few hours (that is... if I can get myself away from ECF ;)), head out to a meeting, and then have a vape before bed. I think the key is keeping the thing in its case in a drawer not in arms-reach of my desk, that way I'm not tempted to pull it out mindlessly and vape while studying. I'm also going to try to get back into the routine of going to the basement to vape, if I keep the process the same as cigarettes then I'll treat my 510 more like a cigarette than a pacifier.

I've accepted the fact that I'm probably going to have more "vape breaks" than I did smoke breaks, but I suppose it's something I can deal with considering I'm no longer taking in 4000 chemicals with every cig  I'll just keep to 6 mg juice and keep it in moderation.
