I learned an important lesson and now the backups for my backups are going to have backups. I am just glad that I found a retailer that ships on Saturday and my new twist should be here on Monday. :)

I'm not sure what it's like where you live, but I've done some digging online and looked up all the nearby brick & mortar shops that sell e-cigs, plus more and more gas stations sell e-cigs now, so maybe while your setup is working you should scout the local tobacco shops to see if they sell vape gear? Even if it's overpriced "mall crap" wouldn't that be better than backsliding?

RE OT: I'm less than 48 hours off cigs, so I'd probably backslide just before going to bed. 15 years of nicotine nightcaps have done a number on my psyche!

Don't be surprised if you don't. :) I used to have one last cigar before going to bed each night. Now I just vape all evening then go to bed.

But if you do backslide, don't sweat it. It's progress. :)

A year ago, I probably would have lit back up. I would have hated the taste of those first few, but I would have gagged through them. Now, I'm down to 6mg. I'd probably be an uber-witch (I was censored - egads!) for a few days, but I think I'd be able to survive without analogs. I'd just walk around "pretend puffing" on my empty PVs until I overcame the loss. ;)

I have checked around before. I can get a disposable for $15 each or a 650 ego knockoff ce4 kit for $60 at the local tobacco shop. I just cant bring myself to pay those prices. There is also a vape/smoothie shop that just opened up about 5 miles away but they are still setting up the juice bar and are closed on weekends to do that. I have not been there yet but plan to soon, probably Monday if I don't get vapemail.

I now have my frankencig working pretty good so I should be set till then. Its amazing how much better i can solder when I'm not having a nic fit.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm pretty sure I'd go back to smoking. I don't think I'd be able to fend off the cravings and the nicotine addiction which still has me in a choke-hold.

That's what scares me when I read about all the pending legislation concerning regulation of e-cigs. You know Big Tobacco will do everything it can to ensure they continue to make millions from killing people. With all of their money, power, and influence they are a very real threat to the future of e-cigs and the benefits of vaping.

I hope I'm never forced to pick up another cigarette. But the government, the FDA, and BT don't care about that. After all, it just boils down to the almighty dollar.

It would be a shame to see something which benefits so many, shot down by the interests of a few.

I would like to say I could walk away, but I learned for sure a couple of days ago that this was not true. Not yet. In a few months I plan on tapering down my nicotine, but I'm not there yet.

So, yes, if ecigs completely went away right now, I am afraid to say that I would probably go back to smoking cigarettes. I pray that this doesn't happen though.

Not to get anyone to incriminate themselves, but if it were made illegal where you lived..you would still vape behind closed doors and out of sight if you still had the liquid and supplies? Honestly, if it came to that..I think I still would.

Then we would not be able to discuss it here.... Cause that is against policy.

Legal status is not germane to my decision to use or not use anything.
My life, my responsibility.

Good luck

Edited: If they made it illegal to use ecigs, what actions would you take to have it relegalized?

At a minimum, what we are doing now: join and financially support CASAA and write letters to congress and the President. I would be more than willing to pay my way and join a CASAA led protest to Washington, also.

Ditto!

I'm trying to get a few of my biker friends converted. If I can do that maybe we would have a ride to Washington. Hundreds of loud motorcycles always leave an impression. Even more when it is a peaceful impression.

(BTW; I'm not a member of any gangs and neither are my friends. HOG only (Harley Owners Group))

Sorry but the horses are already out, won't do much good to close the barn door now. I would just make my own if e-cigs disappeared.

don't you do that anyway? :)

99.9% sure i wouldn't go back (gotta give myself at least a small out)

i have been around a bunch of smokers since day 1...no interest (which is *amazing* to me since i LOVED smoking)
i don't think it is the nicotine (or the patch would have worked no?), could always DIY nic anyway...

i would become really good friends with tj and learn stuff...if all of my frankencigs were failures (they wouldn't be) i'd weigh 400lbs....or become an exercise addict LOL

there is always a way/solution...the real question is how bad do you want it?

If the whole concept of vaping completely disappeared tomorrow? Maybe I'd try the nicotine inhalers as I enjoy the hand to mouth but let's be honest, they look totally dumb, like you're sucking on a tampon. They could at least be more aesthetically pleasing. Other than that, I'd try a few of the NRT's again but I already have little to no faith in those.

If vaping still existed but was completely and utterly banned, I'd just get my stuff any way I could. This doesn't mean I'm blasé about the threats to e-cigs btw, I'll fight with CASAA all the way.
